We have always had at least one meal at the hungry bear (we don't love the food but we love being on the water). With that being said is it still on the water or is it screened off? The only appeal to us was being right on the water. We go in less than 2 weeks and were wondering if it would be on our list or not! Thanks!!!

It's currently blocked off due to Star Wars Land construction.

Still nice and quiet though. We weren't going to eat there, but did because other counter services were packed. There was no wait and was a peaceful meal even without the view.

I used to like the fried green tom. sandwich there but that's gone. In June I got the chicken sandwich and it was ok. It was still quiet back there. The screen has tree pics on in it. At the back of the top level you can look out over the stairs and see the construction going on which was interesting.

I always wanted to try that fried green tomato sandwich but they moved it to Cafe Orleans which is really too bad. I'm not sure if I want a table service meal just to try it!

Aww thats a shame last year that was one of the most peaceful moments. SWL really disrupts the whole peaceful southern feel to that half of the park. really Jarring

I also like Cafe Orleans but since I've suddenly developed a fish allergy, there isn't much there I can eat. So I haven't been in about 3 years. I used to like the fries and the gumbo (which I can still have) and I think the new fried green tomato sandwich there is off limits to me. It is also more expensive there than it was at Hungry Bear.
