Is this for the Fantasmic package? If so they should let you pic anything on the menu. I'm not fond of BBQ so got the chicken wrap instead which wasn't one of entree choices. Will Hungry Bear allow me to choose chicken nuggets for the kids in place of what is listed as the 4 entree choices?
Yes, they will. (But it will be at the Fantasmic meal price.)

In the words of my favorite hungry bear: Oh. BOTHER. I'm sorry this happened to you. We booked this for 2/28 and my sister told me last night she'll be on a vegan diet, so today I started looking more closely at some dining choices. Thank you for sharing your unfortunate experience, as it's tempered my expectations. I'll just be a little more prepared for confusions like you described.I had a pretty bad experience as well but it was with making a substitution within the meal. I did get a couple of the burgers instead from the menu as substitutions for two of our tickets and that part went fine. The gal at the register was awesome, very patient and accommodating. We were getting the plant based option for the rest of us but needed everything vegan so she gave us the switched out choices which she said were standard. When I got my order they had given us the child meals. I let them know and they insisted that's what we get since we were having the allergy option and refused to budge even though we'd paid for adult. I had to get the CM that explained everything to us to confirm because I wasn't sure if I misunderstood something then she had to go over and talk to them and it was very tense and then took forever to get our replacements after taking away our originals which I wasn't sure why they couldn't just give us another set of kebabs (child's version has one, adult had two, that's the only difference) . Then when they finally gave us the adult portions there were no subs for the non vegan sides and again they insisted I couldn't get that with the adult meal despite what I'd been told and they actually yelled at me and acted like I was trying to steal from them, it was honestly one of the most uncomfortable customer exchanges I've even been in and I was pretty much in tears but still remaining calm and courteous just trying to reiterate what I was told without seeming frustrated or demanding since I didn't want to escalate their already open hostility towards me, I knew it was the situation not me. The original CM had to come back again and they (4 of them) finally gave me my sides but they took a long time helping others while I waited uncomfortably and never looked at me directly except when I walked away giving me evil glares.... if I had a free hand I would've filmed it just because it was so bizarre and scary to see those looks! I was shaking at the time (and ended up spilling a drink actually) but it's kind of funny to reflect back on.... kind of, heh.
It's worth sending in a comment to DLR about this. (Use the Contact Us link at the bottom of the DLR webpage.) Management can't fix what they don't know about. Calmly give all the details that you can remember: date, time, location, CMs involved (if you don't know names, just give descriptions and where they were working), what happened, how that affected your experience, what could have gone better, how this can be improved for future guests, etc. Give all your contact information if you want someone to get back to you. Constructive feedback can really help things get better.I had a pretty bad experience as well but it was with making a substitution within the meal. If the substitutions you need are regular items from the regular menu (i.e. not vegan or customized), you should be fine. Whenever we've done the HB package, there have been many guests ordering off the regular menu (burgers, etc.) CMs even ask if you want to order from the regular menu. We've never encountered the problems posted above, even when I've asked for my food to be customized. BB's F! meals are fun, too, but problems at HB have not been the norm in our experience.I had been wondering about substitutions for a picky eater. Ended up just cancelling and booking Blue Bayou package and hope they will be more accommodating. Plus, its on my bucket list!
