We are planning on going back to disney. The last time 2002 the hunchback was already closed.
Are they doing anything with the space? Any other show going in there?
Or am I totally out of the loop and is something else already there?
Thanks for your help

This excellant show was canceled due to a idiotic decision by wdw/disney company and as far as ive heard nothing is happening with this area .
(Of course the rose colored glasses brigade will somehow spin this as a postive!!!! )

We could always hope and see if they realize they had made a terrible mistake closing this WONDERFUL show.

One of the things you should do is contact Disney and let them know we still appreciate the show, miss it and would welcome it back with open arms.

Nothing they do could replace it.

I could be mistaken, but isn't this where the new Auto Stunt Show will be taking place? I know that they are demolishing Residential Street, but I thought that they were also getting rid of the New York Street as well.

I was there a couple of weeks ago and they were using the Hunchback Theatre for storage. I could see what looked like some sort of Christmas lights and figures. Pretty tacky for a place that always tries to hide the mechanics of a theme park. As to the auto stunt show I am SURE that those of us who loved HB will share the SAME intrest in an auto stunt show. Who makes up these decisions? In the past they had a Pocohontis show and that too was wonderful. So then you take a lot of stunt cars to replace two theatre experiences. Makes sense in the world of Disney. One of these days they will try and tap into what those of us in the real world want.

New York Street just underwent a rehab. It's not going anywhere anytime soon.

I thought the show was nice enough, but I was not a big fan at all of the movie or the show. I'm awaiting whatever is next with optimism.

You know, that hunchback show was the only Disney show I never cared much for. Hope they come up with a decent replacement.

hunchback was good but the pocahantos show was tremendous. I was so disapointed when they cancelled it. Was told(way backwhen) that too much pressures was put on from American Indians to get rid of the show.

If you remember correctly, the movie also had some public outcry......

anyhow, believe stage should not be empty at all.. replace it soon......

I miss the show, not only for the fact that it was my favorite live show at Disney, but that there has no replacement that showcases the talent of the cast members.
