This may sound like a weird question. We have gone in December twice but I can not remember (we are going 12/20-12/30).

I have a tween daughter that love to straighten her curly hair in the morning. It does look lovely and she is very quick.

Anyway, is it very humid in late Dec. I don't want to pack the straightener if it is just going to curl up in the humidity as soon as she walks out the door.

FYI - if is going to stay straight I will just leave the flat iron in our locker so it will be making a one way trip.

I know it sounds like a silly question but to a middle school girl it is important.:goodvibes

I just came back from our quick trip there. I forgot to pack my Chi iron. My hair was not right the whole time, especially my bangs. Better take it! It's humid.

We were there the first week of December and my dd17 insisted on packing her straightener. She used it only once and that was in the evening to go to MK. She just gave up on her hair and wore it curly the rest of the time. The humidity didn't seem that bad, but it was enough that her hair wouldn't stay straight.

Every time we took a photo, my dd looked at it and said "omg, my hair looks disgusting". Every. Single. Picture.

I would bring the straightener for your dd and just see how it goes.

Normally it isn't bad in Dec (then again I'm local so my humid-o-meter is a bit skewed) but this season has been unusually warm so it's a bit more humid than normal.

Early December this year was a bit unusual in terms of heat/humidity. We were there 12/5-9 and have been at similar times the past 20+ years. This was the warmest, most humid we've seen it over that time.

However, normally the humidity in December is low and I'd expect that to be the case when you visit later in December.

Leaving for DW in 9 days... I have wavy hair, unfortunately it's not "just-stepped-off-the-beach" wavy... Can someone tell me what the humidity is/will be like the last week of February? Having the curling iron/straightener debate with myself. TIA!
