Hello everyone! My DH has just started working in sales and would like some advice on how to approach HR managers about adding the memberships that he sells to their employee benefits program at work. He has called several companies and gotten a few appointments, but not a lot in the way of results. Is there any advice that you can give him that will help him to succeed? We would really appreciate your help! Thanks!

What's he selling? I mean, not to bash your DH's career choice, but it might not be his selling techniques that are the issue.

All I can say is good luck to him.

Our company has cut back to the bare bones on everything. I suprised they furnish us with TP in the bathrooms. *LOL* (sad)

We have no coffee, 401k match, education reimbursement, Health Club reimbursement, bought the only thing we "get" is our insurance.:(

I would agree that it's probably not your DH that's the problem. I'm in HR for a large corporation and we have (as mentioned above) been cutting "programs" and "benefits" for several years. I haven't seen anything new added in a long time.

Wow, thanks for your replies. My DH is selling Identity Theft coverage. Basically what the company provides is continuous credit monitoring and restoration services if your ID is stolen. Since I am a stay at home mom, I guess I didn't realize that companies were cutting back on benefits programs. DH thought that ID Theft coverage would be a great benefit for employers to give their employees especially since it's all you hear about in the news lately. It's very affordable and covers you and your spouse. Hmmm... well I guess he'll just keep on keeping on. Thanks for the info!!::yes::
