Right now we currently have unlimited streaming though Netflix. But we were thinking of switching to Hulu Plus.

Does anyone here use Hulu Plus? Is there more variety than with Netflix?

So...tell me about your experience with Hulu! :)

We have it but the only time I watch it anymore is when Netflix is down. I did enjoy having season 7 of Desperate Housewives when Netflix only had seasons 1-6. They do seem to add new episodes of some programs before Netflix does. My husband watches House on Huluplus. Aside from that, I wouldn't miss it at all if we stopped subscribing.

It wouldn't replace Netflix for us-very limited selection. We have it just for a few current season shows-Modern Family, Once, Grimm. Netflix has much more available.

We had both -- cancelled Hulu Plus just last week.

We have issues with the streaming -- Netflix is light years beyond Hulu -- Hulu is very stop and go -- Netflix is very smooth.

Also, there are still commercials even with Hulu Plus. Quite annoying.

We have used both for about a 1 1/2 vs. having cable (we actually had HULU plus before it was main stream and you had to get on a waiting list to be approved for the test release). I like them both. I actually watch A LOT more HULU than Netflix. I can subscribe to all the shows I watched on network/cable only I have to view them the day after they air, but it's fine by me. Works like of like DVR because the shows stay in my queue until I watch them. Well worth the 8.99 in my opinion....I'm able to keep up with all my shows for far less than cable cost us.

We have both -- Hubby prefers Netflix because he loves to watch movies, plus when babysitting, it's easy for him to find something for DGD to watch.

Myself - I prefer Hulu Plus because I can catch up on TV shows I may have missed over the years, have not had a chance to watch yet, and just prefer to watch TV on a big screen rather than the laptop.

We stream Netflix through the Wii downstairs and both through a Blu-Ray player upstairs.

We don't have a DVR, so having both services works for us. :cool1:

I prefer Netflix over Hulu and most times we are watching Netflix more than Hulu Plus. Dh and my oldest have a slight preference for Hulu Plus because it offers current season shows (Netflix usually doesn't offer current season) and things like wrestling/UFC and cartoon network shows.

If I had to choose, I would go with Netflix. They have more offerings and no commercials. And some Hulu Plus content is only available on a computer (not TV, roku, gaming system, or phone).

That said, I do appreciate that Hulu Plus offers full current season of a lot of shows and many are available a day after airing on network TV.

Thanks for posting everyone! I really enjoyed everyone's insight to Hulu vs Netflix. :surfweb:

Whenever I miss current episodes, I'll usually just go to the networks website...many of them allow you to watch the newest season to catch up.

So I think we'll stick with Netflix. My DH watches stuff on regular Hulu which is free anyway.

Thanks again! :thumbsup2
