my daughter age 13 went on the ride this past tuesday.
she told me she became extremely nervous when one of the seat belts
became unlocked during the ride.
do all of the seats have two belts on them>
and i already wrote a letter to complain about this to universal.

The safety belt that goes between your legs is not locked and can undo it at anytime on both DD and Hulk. The actual bars that hold you in are locked by hydralics. The safety belt is there case the hydralics would fail. Maybe she pulled it by accident while holding on.

If she had two seat belts, she had the modified seat for larger people...not that it matters in this case. Like Bluer stated, the shoulder harnesses are the main restraints on Hulk...not the seat belts. It's very unusual for the belts to come undone during the ride. I hope she will still ride it when she returns.

Yea she most likely took off her seatbelt.

I have to agree; the OTSR ( over the shoulder restraint) and belt are checked before dispatching the train every time ; however, if she was in a "modified seat" the belts are in slightly a different place than the other seats. If she was holding on in that are one of the belts could have been accidentally released. This does not pose a major safety hazard; especially, since she was in modified seating and has another belt, but even in regular seating it is not a big deal. As mentioned above the restraint is locked by a locking system in the station.

Well, as a huge chicken to these rides until last year before I went on The Hulk i quizzed the member of staff we spoke to about how safe the restraints were. She totally reassured me that even if the belts came loose, the main restraint was the over the shoulder one and I had nothing to worry about. Hope it doesn`t put you off. Can`t wait to ride again this year

She probably bumped it while riding. Either way, its a redundant safety feature that isnt really even needed. She was perfectly safe the entire time.
