It never would have occured to me to call an airline and ask them to give me back money after the price of a flight goes down. Until I read a thread about it here. Now I have a $400 Jetblue credit. So, a big thanks for the idea to everyone who posted about it.

Keep checking if the price of the JetBlue flight goes down any further, they will continue to honor the lower price. We have had same great experience.

We have a choice for non-stop flights: AirTran or Southwest. We chose Southwest every time for this very reason! (Also, Southwest never changes their schedule once it's published AND they treat us like they appreciate our business -- a rarity in the airline world!)

DVC + Southwest is a great deal!

I have a $360 credit from Jet Blue from our trip in November. I got a credit for it that is good for 1 year from the date of the change in price (you just have to book your vacation by then, not actually go by that date).

Can't wait to use it for our trip in January, 2010!

We're also big Southwest fans. We've always been impressed with the courtesy and efficiency. Haven't had to ask for a price adjustment yet. I also love the fact that we don't get emails and phone calls telling us that our flight schedule has changed.

If you ever need to change the flight or obtain a lower price it is very easy to do on the Southwest web site.

well it is their policy to give credit just like Southwest so I suggest you call someone back and speak to a supervisor.

I think he is first cousin to Huge. Funny sidebar, I work for a newspaper and we once misspelled a man named Hugo as Huge. I've now called him Huge for 20 years.
