2.05 cents for a HS mickey hat with ears, brand new with tags, they go for at least 20-25 dollars in the park!!! SCORE!!! (last week found a jack skellington t-shirt for $2.85) MY KIDS KNOW I ROCK!!!
Not Disney related, but yesterday I got DD a new with tags pair of Tom's shoes in her size for $5. Last week we got an almost new pair of Sperry's for her.
That is nuts! Here in Maine we get a lot of donations from LL Bean to our Goodwill stores, but they just mark out the inside label so they know it wasn't bought new at the store, so you can't return it for the lifetime guarantee.
I just love that. I'm in Montana so a WDW find is very rare. I found refillable mugs from years ago. I also found refillable mugs that match our set (my favorite souvie that goes to work/school with the whole family). Plus mugs from Blizzard Beach and Typhon Lagoon (never went to either so the mug was a fabulous find). All were .29 each. My cabinet is full (esp after our upcoming vacation when we get 5 more).

Dh broke the lid to my crockpot several weeks ago.
Today I ran into a local thrift store and sitting on a shelf was a crock and a lid that I was pretty sure went to my crock pot. Bought it for $3.50 and got home and yep, it's the right one! Yay, now I'm back in business.

I have a crock pot that is cracked...DS dropped a mug in it!!! I will be checking our thrift shops just in case I can find a replacement as you have! Never even occurred to me!
Last time I went, I found a refillable mug from 2007 (we went that year, but didn't get this mug, so I was happy to find it!), and I found this jug-type thing:
I have no idea what this is from, but it was only 99¢ and I love it, LOL. I'm think ing of doing a flower arrangement in it. The kids thought it would be good for popcorn ~ could that be what it is used for at WDW?
I used to loooove our thrift stores when we were stationed in PA and Maine. Always found great, name brand stuff and loads of Disney items.
In KY and now here in TX, not so much and they are way overpriced.
Based on this thread, I hit up both the location in the Philly 'hood, and the Bensalem/Franklin Mills location and wow.
On the Kensington ave one, it's very small and crammed together, but they had amazing things, including Minnie Princess ears for under $2. They even had a little kid (24 mos) Mickey costume. In Women's they had a bunch of very nice sweaters for next to nothing, I got a Cashmere sweater for under $5!!!
At Franklin Mills, we got an authentic girls WDW Sweatshirt/hoodie, quite a few Mickey/Princess dresses and sweaters, and I even got an adult WDW Minnie embroidered fleece. They also got a brand new with tags Nemo plush yesterday, complete with his little fin! So cute!
Thanks so much OP for opening my eyes. Who knew?!?!!
