Disney has confirmed several things today!

Trader sams grog grotto is coming to the poly!

The poly will go back to the original name the Polynesian village resort!

DVC will be compete in 2015 with a brand new lobby and pool!

Disney springs will officially take over by name in 2015 with the opening of the landing!

The world of Pandora will open in 2017 at animal kingdom!

The FOTLK theater will open in June!

Rivers of light will be coming to animal kingdom! Concept art has been released!

Also confirmed is the new nighttime safari!

Mine train will officially open on May 28th and FP+ Is available now!

I would have preferred to see Trader Sams at Downto....err...Disney Springs. However, I definitely see where it is a fit at the Poly.

In regards to the 'Rivers of Light' at AK, I would imagine they would have to create all new areas just to view this. Right now there is very little space where you can see the river at all.

Of course...this way you can walk past the maximum possible number of gift shops on your way out of the park afterwards.

or.. more likely the reason is that area of Discovery river has the most space in the water, and most amount of walkway close to the river, to allow more people to actually see it...

but I'm sure it's entirely the gift shop thing....

When do ya'll think the nighttime show will premier at AK? Do you think it will coincide with Pandora or will they stagger it and do it earlier? Don't know if I can make it back down to FL in 2015 but def 2016 sp hopefully I won't have to wait until 2017 when Pandora opens to see the night time show


I really love AK ...i know there are a lot of AK haters but I love animals and I think the theming is superb.

They said it will come sooner than pandora.

Then expect work on that tree to take place between the end of this year and next year. Exciting stuff Disney fans. Oh wait I am sorry excuse me let me fix that........Disney sucks. Like really they are building a stupid night show at Animal Kingdom! Universal already has an awesome high tech night show full of fountains and water screens yea! Beat that Disney! Potter is going to open and beat anything that Disney can do! There all done! =)

I LOVE Harry Potter. I can watch those movies over and over again. I love Potter as much as I love Disney movies. That being said, I am not running to Universal this year to see the expansion. I could have added a day to my trip or taken away a day from Disney but I am not. I am not really impressed with the expansion. Its just a train ride to section of the park that is a copy of London with one ride with screens. I have already been to the current HP section of Islands of Adventure and its incredible. yes, some people will be running to go see Harry Potter 2.0, but so will people when pandora opens, even if they hate Avatar, they will go see what is new.

What I like about it the most is it's not the same Disneyland version it's grogs grotto the polys own version.

I hope the nighttime show premiers summer 2015 when we are there next. I'm glad that they are starting the nighttime activities BEFORE Pandora opens...2017 is a long way away.

I have always thought AK was a special park. It is a place to go, learn and be inspired. It's live creatures make it unique.

I can't say I'm happy about the 2017 date for Pandora, but I guess they just want to release the second film and Avatarland the same year. I mean, I know I won't be interested in a nearly 10 year old story that hasn't produced any additional materials to spark my interest in the meantime. I'll be there for the rides and the visuals, definitey not for the story.

I'm excited about the Rivers of Light nighttime show though. I think AK really needed something like that, and I like the concept so far. It sounds like some sort of wild World of Color/Fantasmic! combination, but I'm excited to see what it'll look like. Hopefully it won't take too long.
