other then Disney on our next trip.....so we (actually I) have it narrowed down to the Sandals Resorts or to Las Vegas.....but there is no Buzz Lightyear in these places.....and I am sure that the Dinosaur ride is no where to be seen either.....I wonder if I can bring my refillable mug from one of many hotels......this has me quaking in my shoes........

We just did Vegas in October, and while it is NO WDW, it was a hoot.

I vote to go to Las Vegas is it can't be WDW :)

I'm gonna be different and say Sandals. :) At least theres beautiful clear water and warm breezes!

I vote for Sandals. Of course, I have no interest in gambling or Vegas, but would love to be on a sunny warm beach right now!

Have fun, Pum!

Marie I have been to both in the last 4 years...will help with the planning if you would like. :D Both places are awesome!!!

If you like gambling, thrill rides, or now, Celine Dion, go to Vegas.

get rid of half my coffee from laughing at you........I think after 36 years I will keep this one......hey at least he is saying vacation someplace.......right>????? and as soon as we can do something different at Disney we will go back.....

Just back from Vegas...quite a party:p We have not done the sandals but I have have heard excellent things about it. Either way Marie you are a winner!:D

I don't know when your vacation is but if it is in the summer I would definitely go to Sandals. We went to LV last summer and we will never do that again. It was HOT,HOT,HOT(and we do Disney in the summer and it doesn't really bother us). We also took our kids 16, and 21. We won't ever do that again either. On the other hand if you are going in the cooler months, I would choose LV. We usually go in the Feb.-March time frame and it is beautiful. Either place would be great. Good luck on your decision.

I love Vegas, but I am with Thinkerbell. If you have to go in the summer, that might not be the best choice. One of my co-workers compared Vegas in July to a Jet Engine Blast Furnace and he was not far off. It is HOT and don't let that stuff about it being a DRY heat get you. At over 100 degrees, with everything in sight paved, IT IS HOT!!!

With Sandels in the fall you have hurricanes so if you go then, be sure you understand the cancellation policies for weather. They are usually pretty easy to work with I think.

When we were in Vegas I kept saying - This is Disney for grown-ups. It wasn't our thing, but I'm glad I did it once. It was definitely something to see.

We have Vegas penciled in for one of our non-Disney trips. There appears to be quite a bit to do besides gambling and the casinos look interesting.
