Hubby is now interested in DVC !!!!!!

Wow, what a difference a few days makes! We're staying at the BCV in a lbdr this coming Sept, and I've been strongly hinting that I want to buy a DVC timeshare. Last night my husband said "Let's look at them when we're down there, we'll see which one we like best". I'm just thrilled. I'm that much closer to being a DVC owner. Yay!

Sounds like you are very close to taking the plunge! My husband gets wary of my enthusiasm for things like spending money on travel (!) and I had mentioned DVC to him several times and I would just a look and roll of the eyes or comments like, "uhh, we'll see." But once I got him to see the VWL on rented points (he loves the WL) and then I sort of "tricked" him into stopping by the Boardwalk sales site "just to get a little information" the wheels were in motion. I kept talking about everything in terms of buying the minimum (figuring I would be lucky if he endorsed that idea), but when the sales presentation was over, he wanted to buy 400 points! (we settled on 300, which seemed more workable financially).

You might want to get the video/DVD to get an introduction to DVC before you go. If not, there is a DVC channel at the resort that covers it all very well.

We've been members since 1995 I have no regrets. Before our purchase we always stayed at the Beach Club. When we did the math we could go to Disney for over 45 years for the price of less than 5 years.

In 1995 we purchased at OKW and last year stayed at BCV and purchased again. This year perhaps we'll buy again. Living in Ca we love going to Florida. In fact we had enough frequent flyer miles with American Airlines, (flights and use of credit card) for airlines tickets. Cost of trip will be food and any other purchases we may make.

It makes such sense we've taken my parents, bother and his family, sister in law and her family. All have purchased, they thought we were crazy but we were smart ours is almost paid off and their's are just starting.

We're going in Sept., too.
