HSM Dance Decoration ideas, please.

Hi all you creative DIs'ers my DS elementary school is having a family dance and we are doing High School Musical! Yeah! And I am doing the decorations! Yeah Me! This is so exciting on so many levels! I have a ton of great ideas and some great people with their own great ideas. But you can never have to much input when planning a big event like this. So please give me some of your great decorating ideas or suggestions! Id love to hear what you would do.

I guess it all depends on how much you want to spend. My building did HSM the musical for our spring show last year. Some things you can find rather inexpensively at Oriental trading are pom's in either your school's colors or the Wildcat colors, basketballs, sheet music (You'd have to get copies made from band or something), Jerseys from a high school basketball team to hang on the walls, maybe? Hmm. This sounds like a lot of fun!! We always do something called memorabilia at our shows where families and friends can purchase things that are in the theme of the show as a fund raiser. You could do something similar if you have a concession stand-sell little basketballs, chocolate bars you've wrapped with computer-printout labels for HSM, poms, notepads with the logo affixed on, and so on.

Oh, and karaoke, if you're thinking about it, is a must-I mean, afterall, that's how the entire show started!
