How is the crowd at HS?

We have been to Disney a *lot*, but never gone to MGM, now HS. We have been 3 times with our kids (oldest now 6).

We just got home 2 weeks ago and I am thinking we will be skipping AK for awhile. It was *awful*. You could not walk, it was totally insane. My daughter is 4 and drives a power wheelchair. She was able to ge around *much* better in MK than AK this trip. I was very suprised we had never seen the crowd swapped like that. AK is ok (my husband and son love the rapids, All but DD love Everest). Overall there is nothing for our daughter there. She can see the 3 shows (been there, done that) and we can see the parade (again). Thats it.... the rest of the day leaves her waiting around for everyone else and it doesn't seem fair to me. So I think we are going to ditch AK for a few trips.

We love Epcot just because its so much more laid back and a much easier day for our daughter. Sure, there isn't as much for her to do there, but at least she can get around easily. She loves nemo and crush. Both kids love living with the lands (we live in the country, so they like growing and seeds). I want to do the seed tour eventually, but I am not sure the ages and if its accessible. She gets to see Belle, and there are a few other things she can do. We love the fireworks! Of course MK.... well its MK! Its a mid-high stress kinda day. The crowd is more intense and this makes it harder for DD. She gets to ride everything (almost) and *loves* it, but its more back work for DH and myself, no problem.

This all leaves me wondering.... comparing HS to the other parks, how does the crowd compare? Should we expect a high stress day? Will she be able to drive, or is it more of a crowd?

Thanks for any thoughts/insight!

Honestly, like everything else, its all in the timing. HS is a smaller park and is laid out completely differently than the others, so there are a few dead end streets that become a bit crowded. If you arrive at 11:00 am during Christmas week, it'll be crowded...if you go off season and get there early, not so much. It's also much flatter than AK so I think it would be easier for your daughter to get around.
She would probably enjoy the new Playhouse Disney show, The Little Mermaid show (right across the plaza) Beauty and the Beast (near Rock and Roller Coaster and Tower or Terror - maybe you and her see the show while the others do those rides) The Muppets, the new parade. My son (also 4 years old) loved Star Tours and the Lights Motors Action stunt show, seeing McQueen and mater, meeting the Toy Story gang and having lunch at Pizza Planet (for the atmosphere, not really the food).
The problem is that you can't really do all of that in 1 day because of the way the show times usually run. So we get a copy of the times guide, either on line before we leave or from any guest service desk and plan out our attack. A lot of the shows run at competing times so we plan 2 shorter 1/2 days there, then hop the boat to Epcot or a bus to another park.
Usually we'll go for an early breakfast at Hollywood and Vine character meal early as possible, hit a few shows/rides, take the boat to Epcot early afternoon for the rest of the day. Later in the trip, we'll go to Epcot early, then hop over to HS for any afternoon shows we may have missed the last time.
Hope this helps!
