Hi. I need advise on my trip planning at Hollywood Studios. My kids will be DS5 and DD4 when we visit. I can't fit everything in my schedule and need help deciding what I can skip from the 5 shows below. I will have time to do 3 of the 5. Which is a definite must do for the kids? My kids like all the below characters equally so nothing stands out as a must do on my list.
Beauty and the Beast Live
Voyage of the Little Mermaid
Disney Junior Live
Muppet 3D Vision
Frozen Sing-A-Long (is this a permanent show? If not, will it still be around in late October?)

Thanks!

Frozen Sing-Along is permanent. I wouldn't miss it if you have a Frozen fan.

I would choose, Frozen singalong, B&B, and either Voyage of the Little Mermaid or Disney Jr. Live.

I would take my kids to see Disney Junior (sit in the back for the best view), Voyage of the Little Mermaid and Frozen.

I don't think that at their ages it will matter to them if they miss Beauty and the Beast or not. Don't get me wrong I.love the show but it is the least interactive between all of the shows so to me it is the least attention holding for that age.

Honestly it was a hard decision for me to suggest which ones to see. Only because of their ages did I make my choices. I'm sure you will get quite a variety of answers.

The best kids shows I think are Disney Jr, Beauty & The Beast, and Frozen. Voyage of the Little Mermaid is good too, but sometimes the special effects can be a little scary for young ones. My 2yr old got freaked out in that show. Indiana Jones is also a classic and my 9yr old loves it, but I think it would be a little too much for a 4 and 5 yr old to handle unless they were into explosive and crazy stunts and such, lol.

One of my very best Disney memories was attending B&B with my 3yo twins for the first time (boy and girl). My DD was so mesmerized by the show that I can still see the look on her face as she she stood on my lap watching it. I don't know why people don't enjoy the show as much as we did, but my family loves live performances and while they will equally enjoy Disney Jr. it's like exposing them to a quickie Broadway production. I think it is expertly done for the time frame allotted and my daughter actually cried when the beast died and she knew he was going to come back to life, but it was just that amazing and breathtaking to her. I have two older children who loved it just as much and I can't wait to bring them back again this year. We took the last couple of years off, but for a first time, I wouldn't miss B&B.

Also, I truly think you could do all of those things. If I HAD to skip one, I would skip the muppets. I LOVE the muppets, moreso than even my kids and I think we must have watched Muppet Treasure island around 300 times, but I wouldn't give up the live performance factor for the muppets.

We really enjoyed Frozen and Disney Jr. last year with DD4 and DS1. My kids weren't crazy about Muppets at all. Haven't seen the other two

Ok so no votes for Muppets, so that one is out....one more to eliminate. I'm really want to see B&B, so I might keep that one in the plans for me.

We've always liked Muppets, I think that's a good one to try for. I'd say go with Voyage of the Little Mermaid, MuppetVision 3D and Disney Junior Live (best to do this before they outgrow it)

Disney Junior was the clear favourite last summer with my DD3 and DD6. On our next trip in February I am planning on doing Disney Jr, Beauty and the Beast and Frozen (if we have time).

I personally would skip Disney Jr. We did it once and it wasn't worth the discomfort of sitting on the floor, in my opinion, and my son never asked to do it again (and said no when offered).

I would NEVER skip the muppets. Also, while it is a "show" it runs continuously all day so I don't think it's hard to fit in. Plus it only takes about 15 minutes (it's about a 15 minute preshow, too, but you don't have to be there for the whole thing). Plus, with all the changes going on around it, it's possible that it may go eventually.

Hate to put a crimp in your plans, but are you discounting Indy and Lights Motor Action (if you're going before April)? I'd do LMA if you're going before April, just since it'll be the last time and it is fun, and Indy has been my sons favorite since he was a toddler. I have the same picture of him, sitting in the Indy theatre with his mouth wide open in Awe every year!!
Beauty and the beast is just "meh" in my opinion. My son hears its dark in Little Mermaid and he refuses to go in (still). Frozen would be a must though!

Unfortunately LMA will be gone when go. My DS would have loved it. I haven't considered Indy, as I thought my kids would be too young to enjoy that show. I definitely will not be able to do all the shows. I'm planning on breakfast at H&V for 8am, and lunch at Mama's w/Fantasmic package and leave the park by 2pm so the kids can nap. Then return to HS at 5:30 for Sci-Fi dinner followed by the Fantasmic show. I'm hoping to book FastPass for TSM at 9am, and then plan 3 other shows in the day. I'm thinking about maybe skipping the lunch and just grabbing a quick serve meal to have more time in the park. Without the reserved seating at Fantasmic, how early should one arrive at the theater before the show? Trip is planned for late October.

Disney Jr. and I agree with sitting in the back. Makes seeing the stage so much easier! Everyone is sitting on the floor. The kids will love it and there are parts where they can get up and move!

I would leave out the Muppets. It is 3D and loud. My kids were funny at that age...the 3D freaked them out!

Keep Beauty and the Beast if you want to go! You deserve some pixie dust too!

I have not seen the Frozen show, but I am sure if you have a Frozen fan, he/she will love it!

The Little Mermaid is a great show, and it has some great AC on a hot day!

Happy Planning!

I personally wouldn't miss Disney Jr. with kids that age because it's the only time they will ever want to see it, by 6ish they will outgrow it. It's too bad about LMA, that was DS's favorite show last year at age 5. It's so hard to choose among the others! good luck deciding. :)

Beauty and the Beast Live is one of my favorite attractions out of all the parks, not just HS! I definitely recommend it. Muppet 3D Vision & Voyage of the Little Mermaid are also great. (I haven't seen Disney Junior Live or Frozen Sing-A-Long.) Again, though, I think you should definitely include B&B.
