HS split group timing

Trying to fit in a couple grown up rides without making the little ones wait around too much. If the kids went to see the Mickey and Minnie Vacation Fun short movie while the adults used lightning lane for tower of terror would the timing work out ok? Same question for the Cars show and rock n roller coaster?

Are you asking about rider switch? How old are the children?

Kids are 2 and 6 (tall enough but not interested in thrill rides). Grandparents are also not interested in thrill rides so can take the kids on something else rather than having people waiting around for rider swap.
