Going to the parks in late July. We have 3 days of park hoppers. We aren't SW people so our priorities for HS are SDD, ToT, RNR and MMRR. Not sure what order to do those. I have a park reservation so we plan to go at rope drop. Thoughts on a plan???

We always try to do ToT first and then RnR (if someone will go with DD for the latter). Earlier in the year, we found this to be the best strategy because everyone else heads to Galaxy's Edge, Toy Story, and MMRR. The waits for ToT later in the day were terrible and one of the CMs told me to expect 60+ minutes all day long. And it was.

That being said, it might be all different now since ToT is back to running full capacity, at least I think. In June we headed to Galaxy's Edge first since we let the people who hadn't been to the parks in years choose where to start, so can't say how Sunset Blvd. was then. We did go to ToT first in January and February though and then RnR which was great if you're one of the first on ToT, the line hasn't built up yet for RnR very far. Would do that again in a heartbeat! We walked right on both times and there was a 40-minute line by the time we got off. RnR, in comparison, was about 15-20 minutes for the February trip after riding ToT.

Although, Slinky Dog might be your better option. I recommend checking out the Here Now and Just Back thread, you'll get the best idea of how DHS is at rope drop right before your trip

It's a long thread, start with the most recent pages :).

I was just there Sunday (7-11). Park opened at 9am. I drove & got to the parking lot entrance 8:30 & was in the park about 15 minutes later. I rode RNR 1st it said 40 minute wait (it wasn't since I took my chances in the single rider line). Then next to door to TOT which said 30 minutes & was probably a little less than that. I wandered over to SDD cause the area around MMRR looked chaotic. SDD was an 80 minute wait it said & I waited 45 (at the very end it splits & as a single rider they sent me there so maybe 10 minutes saved). And by then my BG for ROTR was called so I headed that way. I was done with the ride, got a snack & moseyed around walking out of the park around noon. If you would have gone to wait in the MMRR line it would have probably been about the same time I am guessing.

And all these wait times I posted above were based off the signs at the ride or the CM holding the line here sign. I didn't look at the app for times.

I was behind rope drop so I opted to head to RNR/TOT 1st cause it seemed like a lot of people were walking straight towards MMRR. See how the crowds are flowing when you are there.

Just to share, in case rope drop does not work for your family, go back to the park an hour or two before the park closes. The wait time for these rides would be down to 30 minutes or less.
