Oh no! Sounds like the MM was decidedly NOT a success. I'm sad to read that, and will set my expectations accordingly. Any specific things you are inclined to share that might make for a better experience for those of us going in July?
Nothing we can do anything about, really. It was mostly parks due to restrictions of what DVD purchased would be my guess. But that's all it would be.
They appeared to only be running 2 trains for RnR. ToT was only running two shafts, and I suspect one of them was all that was in operation originally until a vomit alert forced them to finally open the second shaft. We stood at the front of that line for 30 minutes and nobody would even do us the courtesy of telling us why it was shutdown or whether it would even come back up for that matter (It was near the end of the night so that mattered.). SR was up and down all night for seemingly long periods of time.
I actually think DVD did a very good job with the part they did. It was all handled efficiently and well in my judgement, but if I'm going to wait 70% as long for rides (there are other examples like SDD) as I do on a normal park night, there's no real advantage to going except the apparent crowd is somewhat smaller, and I get a 'free' snack or two.
Not complaining at all, just very matter-of-factly disclosing my observation of it all. If I did ever happen to be there for another one, I wouldn't be heartbroken if I didn't get in, though full disclosure I probably would try. I certainly wouldn't book a trip especially to go, that's for sure. It's a marketing thing. I got what I paid for. I get that.
