We've reached "that age". This is the first time that a child of some friends is graduating. We've had nieces and nephews graduate and have an amount we give them, but what about for the child of friends? She babysat for us a few times but the last time I saw her she didn't even acknowledge my presence. Her sister is my dd's best friend.
So how much would you give? Cash or a gift card?
Thanks!

Great question!! We are in the same boat.

Received an announcement from the son of MY close friend in high school. We exchange Christmas cards, and have seen this boy maybe 2 or 3 times in the last 5 years. I've decided to send $$, but have no clue how much to send.

Hi,

Usually $15-20 is the norm around here for a neighbor or casual acquaintance graduating.

Thanks, Herc!! :wave2:
Now there's one opinion. Deb and I need more opinions! Anybody else? :)
