I can go to HS on either the first Saturday of Star Wars weekend or the second Friday. Which would be less crowded?

Thanks very much!

I have gone to Star Wars weekend three times. Once opening day which was insanely crowded but super fun and the other two times a couple weeks in which was still pretty crowded but only for the Star Wars events, like the pictures with characters, the stores selling the limited edition stuff and the parade/show. The rest of the park was not too bad in my experience. I haven't been in several years so not sure how much things may have changed.

I still think opening weekend will have the biggest crowds.

I want to go see the fireworks on Saturday night. The crowd calendars don't say that it will be near a 10 , but is there any chance that if I go in the evening around 8pm that I won't be able to get in?

I doubt you will have a problem getting in. DHS is packed during SWW but I don't think it gets to "close the park" capacity.

The 2nd Friday, is the day of the 24 hour event at MK. Right?

I am at WDW that weekend, too, and after opening MK at 6 am, we intend to move over to Studios by late morning. I think the crowds will be at the MK that day and evening, and that it will be the "best" day of that weekend for SW.

We will see.
