HS and Test Track?

Yes,I know Test Track is NOT in HS, my question though is this.
If you have a limited number of mornings to use your Fast Passes but you have a park hopper so you can switch around days, is it even WORTH a morning visit to HS with little kids (3-6)? I've heard that come this summer (when we will hopefully be there) HS may have some good stuff (Toy Story land??) for the toddlers, but when I look at it now, I just don't see much for the little ones (and the kids are not into Star Wars at all).
Secondly;
Is Test Track too scary for small kids (3 yrs old or elderly adults (80 +)? Appreciate opinions on this!

THANKS!

The testing part is like a roller coaster track right? And you go thru a part that’s dark?

Test Track is not scary. You sit in a car and go through some "tests". It is a bit dark at times. Then at the end of the ride, the car goes up to 65 mph around a track. It's fast, but smooth. There is a height requirement, though, so your 3 yo may be too small. Be sure to watch a youtube video of the ride and you can decide if your group can handle it. :)

I can't imagine NOT going to Hollywood Studios with FP+! Our last trips were with kids 3 & 5 and then 5 & 7. HS is a full day for us. Tower of Terror, Rock n Rollercoaster, Jedi Training, Toy Story Midway Mania, Star Tours, Star Wars Launch Bay and lunch at Sci Fi Dine-In were all on our "can't leave WDW until we've done these at least once" list. Then, there's still Indiana Jones, character greets, Little Mermaid and Beauty & Beasts shows, Disney Jr, etc. And all of that's before even factoring in the new Toy Story Land. If you're not into Star Wars at all, it could easily mean that you don't need a full day there, though. Whether or not to go in the morning &/or use your FP+ depends on how many park days you have and what your other goals are for the week.

No it's not like a rollercoaster track. It's like riding in a car. You're inside a building so it's not super bright but there is no pitch black parts

YOUTUBE IT! It's moderately dark inside, but brightens up dramatically when you go outside during the daytime. If ride TT after dark, it'll be dark outside at that point too.

I'm not a rollercoaster person, this is one of my favorite rides. Lots of banking outside, but like others said, it's smooth.

Would they like riding in a convertible with the top down at 70 MPH? If so - they'd like TT. If not, probably not. The inside part isn't scary - a few sudden starts and stops and some noises but not "scary" in that sense.

HS will likely be worth a visit. There'll be enough there for a good morning for a 3 years old. But same caveat to anyone who asks questions like this - you have look up what they have and decide if your child would like it. There is no one size fits all.

Thx everyone here for the posts - all very helpful! I saw the youtube but it's a bit hard to estimate how it 'feels' just from a video. It did seem that the acceleration part was a bit roller coaster-ish, and I am afraid that my 3 year old (and elderly people on the ride) might be scared..

Most 3 year olds wouldn't be tall enough to ride TT, so it's certainly not made with preschoolers in mind. But, both of my kids loved the ride at age 5. It's not at all like a rollercoaster - it feels just like a convertible accelerating quickly. That said, it sounds like one you might want to skip if you think it's too much.

My middle son was just turned 4 when he rode it for the first time and he loved it. It's like driving fast in a car, there is nothing particularly intense or scary about it

Is there a fully updated, CURRENT list of all rides at all 4 parks with descriptions somewhere? A link would be appreciated; thanks!

Test track isn’t scary but it may be uncomfortable for elderly or older folks. The car is low to the ground so bending down to get in/out.. plus there’s some swerving and quick stops, may be uncomfortable if they have a bad back.

Hollywood studios is fun but we’ve spent less time there lately with all the construction.
I’m sure toy story land will be good for kids but it is going to be a madhouse when it first opens! It may be overcrowded or too crowded to actually enjoy.

I have 2 kids, 11 and 13, both boys. One loves Test Track, and it is his favourite ride. The other tolerates it, but does not like rides, so the sudden stops and jerking motions do not appeal to him. He also does not like the acceleration at the end. So, you need to know your audience. Your children might love it, and they might not. There is a fun part before the ride, where you get to create your own vehicle. You save this vehicle to your magic band, and throughout the different "tests" of the ride, you see how your vehicle ranks. A fun little competition. The problem is that the magic band readers do not always seem to work. On our most recent trip, I rode TT with my 11 year old 7 times and the magic band readers only displayed our vehicle for 2 of those rides.
Also, if your 80+ year old family members are using scooters, it is worth knowing that they can ride their scooters throughout the entire ride queue. A cast member will help park the scooter and have it waiting for you as you exit the ride.
Hollywood Studios has little to offer at the moment, but if you haven't been there before, it is worth spending a partial day there to check it out. If you get a Park Hopper, it is very easy to hop between Epcot and HS. The walk between the 2 parks is very nice. The Boardwalk is worth checking out too. You can also take a boat between the 2 parks, if weather is not conducive to walking.
If you are not going to HS for rope drop, definitely get FP+. You will need it for Toy Story Midway Mania. Attractions that your whole family will enjoy are Toy Story, Fantasmic, Muppets (highly recommended!), Indiana Jones, the Citizens of Hollywood. Frozen sing along is supposed to be really funny. If you want to ride the Rock N Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror, but your kids don't, look into rider swap. That is a great option for parents with small children.
An idea for you might be to start your day at Epcot for park open. Ride Test Track without a FP. Then head over to Hollywood Studios when you're ready. Get FP for Toy Story, Fantasmic and Tower of Terror.
Before our first trip, I found lots of helpful ride reviews online. You can search individual attractions on YouTube. If you haven't already, google individual ride reviews. I found Disney Tourist Blog to be really helpful.
Enjoy your trip!

I would describe Test Track as thrilling, but not exactly scary. I’ve driven faster than 65 MPH, but I’ve never driven on banked roadways, at least not on roads built intentionally to bank, but I am in New Jersey. ;)

IDK when your trip is, but if you are asking so that you can schedule a late day Fastpass, I would tell you to rethink that strategy. It’s tier 1, so you might want to choose something you can use earlier and then go for it as a 4th FP or stand-by.

My 3 year old loved it! We had to get right back in line without a FP but it was so worth it. She’s up front with me and my wife and 6 year old in the back
