We don't typically do more than 1 day in HS. Last year I sort of forgot about Toy Story Mania and by the time we made it over the fastpasses were gone. We're going again in April and I must try out TSM! We'll be in HS on a non-EMH day and of course plan on arriving prior to the park actually opening. What should we do first? TSM or RNR/TT? I'm guessing we'll probably want to ride TSM more than once so I was thinking of heading over there first, get a FP, ride in standby and then head over to RNR and TT? Does this sound like a good plan? I'm guessing a lot of people will still flock to RNR first thing since it's a major thrill ride and we should be OK with riding TSM and getting a FP with a reasonable return time if we beeline there first correct?

Definitely hit TSMM first!!! And go straight to the standby line. The wait time could go from 0 to 30 minutes while you wait to get your FPs! If you get your FPs right after you ride, you should still get a decent return time.

Good luck and have fun!

This is exactly what we did both in March and Oct and it worked out OK both times. TSM sucks up much of the crowd that used to flock to ToT and R,nR.

I agree TSM first, get in the standby, and then get a FP after. RnR, had the smaller wait of the two ( RnR and TOT) so I would hit it first. I found the best time to hit TOT was during the second F! of the night. We went to the first F! ( 6:30) and then rode TOT at 7:45 ( right before the 8pm F!) and walked right on to the ride.

I have to ride ToT by myself anyway b/c DH is a wuss so we usually play those 2 by ear to see which one we should get FP's for. I just don't want to miss out on TSM this year no matter what! I'm hoping it will be a slow day b/c no Fantasmic or EMH.

we got to HS on Jan12 at 9:10am and the standby line for TSM was at 40 minutes with the fast pass return time at 1050-1150! When we came back to the area around 10am, the fast pass return time was 315-415..crazy! in the meantime, TOT and RNR was at 10 minutes..so yeah, definitely hit up TSM first!
