We had a one-night stay at HRH. We really enjoyed our stay. We had a pool view room on the 5th floor. Our room was in good condition (only one noticable stain on the floor), and we especially liked the bathroom set up with a second sink area outside the bathroom. My kids, 9 and 7, loved the pool, especially the slide! My husband and I liked it, too!
We had a sunday morning brunch at the Kitchen which was outstanding and also had ice cream at their ice cream shoppe (the name escapes me). The convenient access to City Walk and IOA and US and the FOTL access made this worth every penny! The lines at both theme parks were incredibly L-O-N-G and FOTL was indispensible. It really worked with our lifestyle...sleep-in...take your time...still ride everything as many times as you want! And, for just one night's stay...we got two days of FOTL. Too cool!!!!
My only complaint would be check-in. It was extremely slow and inefficient. Most of the agents (?) seemed unaware of the long line of waiting people. While it's one thing to give each customer the attention and service they deserve, it's another to take 10 minutes to check someone in.
This was our first trip to Universal...we were very impressed. We will definitely be going back!
