Hi,

King Suite or Kids Suite?

Which one is the best?

We have a King suite booked at the HRH later on this month. We have a 20 month old daughter and I was thinking of trying to swap the King for the Kids because of the seperate room.

Do you think this is a wise move or is the King Suite OK for 2 adults and a toddler?

Thanks.

My mom was in a King Suite when she was there. It had a separate bedroom with a king bed and a large living area. There was only a pull out in the living room.

What were you plannig on for your daughter to sleep on? If you were thinking crib or portable from home, you could probably set it up in the bedroom where the king bed is and you could use the Living Room after your DD was asleep. If you were not planning on having DD sleep in your room, then unless you plan on having her in the living room, you may want a kid's suite.

BTW--my recollection of the king suite is that there was no door to the bedroom. The setup was rather clever, but if your DD is bothered by noise from other rooms you may want to have a suite that has bedroom doors.

Thanks for the advice and info.

We have just taken the bars off her crib and she sleeps in a 'mini bed' now, so she may not feel comfortable going back to a crib. I was going to try and get a rollaway for her, but I now think the Kids Suite would be a better option because of the seperate room with bedroom doors.

BTW Do you know how big a King Suite is when compared to a normal room at the HRH?

Thanks again.

When compared to a regular room at HRH the King Suite is HUGE. The only problem with the King Suite is it just has the king bed and pull-out sofa and there is no separation from the living area only a curved wall where you cannot see the bed from the entry door. It is, however, a much larger room with loads of space and a very large round table with four chairs. Also something to consider is in the King Suite the bathroom only has a shower, a very nice marble shower, much nicer than the regular bathroom but still only a shower. With a little one that means no tub.

Thanks for the info YCFAN.

The King suite sounds great (for two adults)!

I will contact the HRH and see what they say about switching to a kids suite.

Thanks

Both suites are great. You will enjoy whichever you choose. Some King suites have pool views while others have parking lot views. All Kid's suites have the same view which is of a very nice courtyard and the water taxi loading area. One of the better garden views in the hotel.
