HRH room renovations

I received a letter from the HRH hotel manager this week about reservations...he stated in the email that ALL rooms will be renovated this year. I dont know to what extent the renovations will be, but when we stayed, the rooms were darn nice. In no need of a renovation. But it was only one room, so what do I know. Heres some of the email.


"We hope that you will continue to stay with us and enjoy our beautiful resort. We'll keep working on making the overall guest experience better, and we hope that we'll have the opportunity to host you again in the future.

I do also want to share that all rooms will be renovated THIS YEAR!

Hard Rock Hotel has become a great place for family and special events, and a great holiday retreat. We'd love to see you back again. I would personally like to see you back with us again, so that we may show you our services we are known for.

Should you need accommodations on a future visit to the Orlando area and you re-consider staying with us or our sister properties--- Portofino Bay Hotel and Royal Pacific Resort-- during the Thanksgiving Holiday, please keep my name as a personal contact so that I may assist in booking reservations and so that I may ensure an enjoyable, relaxing and flawless visit.

Our room last week had a ripped bedspread & dirty carpet. Nothing major, but it could definitely use some sprucing up. I'm not sure that would help the carpet much though. We ended up being assigned a smoking room (another story), & the carpet probably had smoke settled in it.

I have never posted, more of a lurker for info, which by the way is great! We were at the HRH 7-23/7-28 & when we checked out the bellman who came for our luggage told us about some of the renovations. He said new carpet, marble countertops, new decor & a huge wall plasma tv! Can't wait to go back next summer, the HRH is our fave out of all three, just more fun & laid back IMO.

New carpet and paint in themselves will be a big improvement. They were getting a little tired.

Hi, We were there 7/19-23 and renovations will definitely give the rooms a more updated look. But we had a GREAT stay and everything in the room was fine except carpeting could have used a GOOD steaming. WE will be going back! I found service at the HRH to be outstanding! Joan

Does anyone know if renovations have already begun or what the start timeframe will be? We have a ressie for 1 nt. Sept.28 but still can't decide if we should stay at RPR. I wonder how many rooms would be complete by then. If they're halfway done by then maybe I'll take my chances.
