HRH Parking--what do you do when checking in?

Never been to Universal.

Will be staying at HRH. Will have our own car.

What do you do when you get there? Is there somewhere
temporary near the front of the hotel to park, while checking
if the room is ready? If you go to the garage, how do they
know not to charge you for parking, if you are not checked
in yet?

If you are going to go to the parks and come back to HRH later, you can park in the HRH parking lot. You will need to take a ticket to get into the parking lot, but once you check in, your keys will let you get in and out of the lot. You can use HRH valet parking too. You just go to valet parking and tell them you are checking in. They will take your name and charge you $10/day for valet parking.
