HRH credit card deposit question

Newbie at the HRH here, and I am wondering when checking in what kind of "hold" that will put on our credit card.

If you call, they will charge you one night's deposit. I have found them to be pretty consistent in this.

If you book online, it's a crapshoot as to whether or not they will charge you one night or not.

Thanks....but I am wondering what happens at check in with putting a hold on the card...most hotels put some sort of hold and I am wondering the amount and when it is released.

At check-in, your card will have a hold put on it for your final bill (room+taxes) + a certain % over the bill for incidentals. If you choose to put charging privileges on the key cards, it will be a bit more. You can discuss with the front desk staff how much over you want for incidentals.

It depends on your credit card's policies when the hold is released. Speak with your credit card company on how they handle holds.

Sorry, I just read deposit, and didn't answer your question.

Are you asking about charging privileges? At HRH, you can select the amount per day you want charged for incidentals. You just tell the front desk the limit. We do $150 per day. You can also select no charging privileges at all.
