I've had a look on search but can't find much information. If there have already been lots of threads on this, please could you let me know the link?

We've booked HRH club but I have a few questions...

1. How does check-in work? Do we check-in at the main lobby or go straight to the club floor?

2. Are there photos of the lounge online anywhere? What are the food and beverage offerings?

3. I read something about people getting upgraded to "deluxe" club level rooms? What is this? Can you pay for this upgrade or is it just down to luck? We're a family of five so the extra space would be a godsend.

Thanks so much for any info! :thumbsup2

Have stayed club level several times. Yes you need to check in at the lobby
You need your keys to get access to the 7th floor.
There are only several deluxe rooms and it really is the luck of the draw we have had one twice it is really nice to have the extra room/sofa

I too am looking for food offerings each night but no one has responded

we were just there in March and one night was wings, one night fajitas, can't remember the rest

will be there for 7 days in August so wondering what is offered each night

I'm going there in October and curious too.

Please does anyone have any other experiences of the food and drink offerings?

We stayed in October 2006, April 2007 and will be going again in 15 days. I think the menu changes alot so that is probaly why no one has answered. From my trip report last year I tried to keep track of the offerings and will do so again this time - the food offerings were that of a "Happy Hour Variety"

Here are the offerings from my trip report

*Lounge Offerings Wednesday: Spinach and Artichoke hot dip with all colors of nachos, Wing Bar with 3 different Sauces (they were meaty wings too), Pigs in a blanket, Cheese and cracker tray and a huge veggie tray with ranch dip on the side (yum!).

*We walked back to the hotel at 5PM for the Loung offerings:
-Fried Ravioli
-Plain Meatballs with 3 sauces (2 white and one marinara)
-An AWESOME tortellini salad platter
-Antipasto
-Veggie Tray with Dip

*Lounge offerings this night were:
-Teryaki Chicken Skewers
-Vegetable Spring Rolls
-Prawn Chips (all of the above with 4 different dips)
-Huge fresh veggie tray with dip

*Lounge offered the Wing Bar, Pigs in a blanket and veggie tray this night

I missed two nights - but that is what I can find from my trip report. The drinks available from 5-7 are beer and wine. Soda, water, coffee and tea are all day long. Breakfast is contenential style. sweet treats are at night @8 to 9 and that is also different each night.

I hope this helps you out. We found that the 5-7 offerings were enough to make a light dinner out of as we ate a good lunch in the parks each day.

1. you check in in the main lobby and as the other poster said, you must have your key to access the 7th floor.

2. see my above post for this info (I will try to get pics this trip coming up)

3.The deluxe rooms are not available for reservations......you can REQUEST a deluxe room, however, it is not guaranteed. Call and add the request to your reservation, can't hurt :thumbsup2

This is the deluxe room and we are a family of five as well - the extra space was awesome :cool1:

4.If you haven't already - go to loews.com and sign up for their loews first club. It's free and you can get a welcome gift and later checkout. As you progress up the ladder in stays, you get better perks (free upgrades, etc)

Wow the food offerings sound good. Def gonna use that as a light dinner rather than having a big meal twice a day. Thanks

check out the universalorlando.com web site.

on the first page, click on hotels.

from there, all your questions will be answered.
all types of rooms are explained there with diagrams and pics.

Sorry to hijack the thread but does anyone also know can you get in to the lounge after you check out on that day? We wont be leaving the area until around 8 so it would be nice to pop in and try some more food

talk to the concierge staff in the lounge on the club level before you check out.

also, check with the front desk.

your room key is still valid for fotl for the parks and city walk on the day you check out.

only problem you might have is getting access to the 7th floor once you have checked out.

that is why i say, check with the staff to work around that issue.

i have seen people in the lounge prior to their check in for club level.
room not ready, etc but they are giving the right with a hotel key to reach the 7th floor for lounge accessibility.

i did use the club after i checked out one time due to a flight change to a later time.

i worked that out with the front desk for the elevator access.

just because it happened for me, it might not for everyone.

it depends on your situation.

the hotel staff will work with you.
contact them for the arrangements.

good luck and have a great trip.

Thanks for this

That would be great, thanks! It always helps with the excitement to see some pics, and there don't seem to be any pics of the club level/lounge anywhere online!

there are pictures in an older thread.

do a search to bring it up.

The downside of the great food at the HRH Club is that the place seems mobbed all day long.

I stayed there once while updating my book, so I was in the room working a lot. Every time I went to the lounge for coffee or a snack I practically had to fight my way in.

I can remember thinking, "Why aren't these people at the parks?"

if HHN is going on when i am at universal, it is a waste for me to stay club.

i have done that about 3 times during hhn times in the past but no more.

i love the breakfast in the lounge and the water/soda during the day.

i just am not at the hotel enough to take advantage of the club's offerings to the guests.

i go to the park when it opens, stay until 3ish, return to the room.
change clothes, grab a h2o and return to the park at 4ish.

don't leave there until 2 in the morning once HHN closes down ......
of course club is closed at that time when i return to the room....:rolleyes1

i enjoy the club level but with the platinum loews first card, my amenities are just as fine without club when i go solo to UO.
