I have a few questions about the cabanas at the HRH
1. How far in advance can a cabana be reserved?
2. Is it better to reserve a themed cabana or a regular cabana?
I just made our room reservations tonight for June 1 to June 4, 2006 so I have a very long time to plan. I am trying to do a lot of little extra things this trip to make it extra special and want to make sure I have my planning timeline in order so I don't miss out on anything.

Thanks :daisy:

I am not sure how far in advance you can reserve them. A quick call to the HRH would help you there.

Last week we had two cabanas rented for a group of 11 people. We had 7 and 8 rented - the Yellow submarine and the regular one right next to it.

There wasn't much difference in the cabanas. Size was the same, as was the chair arrangement and the tv / fridge arrangement.

We did get 6 extra sodas and 2 extra waters in the themed cabana. They also came with 2 large floats that the kids loved. We had them reserved last Friday and they used the floats to lay on to watch Willy Wonka and the Chocolate factory.

The only thing I did notice between the two cabanas is that with the themed background, you could not open the back drapes - therefore not allowing you to have all 4 sides open. On the regular cabana, we did keep all 4 sides open due to the heat.

BTW- we really didn't need the second cabana. They were large enough that we really could have fit everybody into one. Especially since part of the party was always either at the parks or in the pool.

But we will now always reserve at least one. Our kids declared the "pool day" as one of the best days on the vacation!

stupid question, but how do they know what sodas you like....even as basic as diet or reg ?

Thanks for the reply. That was the information I was looking for. I did call the HRH yesterday and the reservation book for 2006 is not available yet. The lady I talked to told me to try back in a month or two. She did say the reservation book comes out for a whole year at a time. :sunny:

When I called to reserve a few months ago, they asked me what kind of sodas I wanted. And those are the ones we found in the fridge when we arrived ;)

Where do they place the screen now for movie night and then which cabana has the best view?
