Just got back. Some thoughts on HRH and Universal:

Universal better than WDW for us - 3 1/2 yr old, 3 adults. Rides much better for everyone.

Easy to walk to parks

FOTL pass can't be beat!

HRH nicer than any of the WDW resorts I've been in, my only complaints:

- Club not worth it
- Thin walls (big drawback!)

Staff much nicer and more knowlegeable than WDW staff!!!!

Pool awesome at HRH

Awww. That's a great report. Glad to enjoyed yourself so much. I totally agree about club. It is nice if you get it for free but not worth it if you have to pay.

What can you tell me about the club level? Why wasn't it worth it? Was there anything you liked about it?

The HRH just doesn't really look like it would have a club level in my opinion. RPR has an excellent club level you might want to try that next time. I have never tried PBH club level though.

I loved the HRH but was disappointed in Club Level too, the lounge was very small and always crowded in the morning, no where to sit, people standing around watching for tables trying to eat their donut.. etc...

The night offerings were crap IMO Chips Ahoy cookies, or oreos - just really cheap.

so glad to hear you had a great time !!

i have stayed club at hrh 6 times. it was good back in 2002 but not as to my liking since then. food offerings i have read, are better at the other 2 hotels.

Is there club level at AKL? If so, could someone tell me?
Thanx!

Yes AKL has a club level. The lounge is located above the lobby on the 5th (?) floor above the main entrance. You gain access either through keyed access in the elevator or a gated entrance on the floor below and taking the steps. Breakfast was good but nothing of substance offered afterwards until dinner when there was a nice assortment of apps. They tend to be more liberal with adult beverages than Universal (who'd have thought) as if the beverages aren't out, just asking a staff member will get you that bottle of beer or glass of wine. Water was served in a large bottle so was unavailable to take to the parks.
