Do resort guests still get early access to WWoHP? (Thinking of a quick trip in March.)

Julie

What time woud you suggest arriving at the park if WWoHP opens at 8 for resort guests.

We're going this weekend, so I don't speak from experience, but we plan on being out the hotel door at 7:30. Assuming it takes about 15 min to walk (or take the boat), we should be at the gates around 7:45. I've read they start letting people in a few minutes early.

That's the plan...we'll see how it goes! We aren't usually the best "morning people", but if I have a mission, I can usually get everyone up and going!

I curious how crowded it is if you are there right at opening time. Wondering if there is a mad rush to WWoHP like there is to WDW's Toy Story Mania or Soarin.

Do you have to purchase a vacation package with on-site hotel and tickets to get the early entry?

I'm getting ready to book a room and this disclaimer pops up under Early Entry - *Requires theme park admission. Transportation is not provided to Early Park Admission. Offer valid 7 days a week for travel through 12/31/11. Only valid for Universal Parks & Resorts Vacations guests who purchase a complete vacation including hotel and theme park tickets. Standard operating hours and availability of specific attractions are subject to change without notice.

That part has me nervous that we won't be getting in early unless I but tickets at a higher price than I wanted (plus I have an AP). Anyone know for sure that on-site room only is all we need for Early Entry?

Thanks
Mark

If you are staying onsite, your ticket gets you into the park but your room key gets you early entry.

You do not have to buy a package if you are staying onsite. Room only reservations get you early entry and unlimited express pass.

All the above is saying is that you still have to buy a ticket to get into the park; that your room key isn't your admission.

If you have an annual pass, you're good to go on the park tickets.
