I would do another day of Magic Kingdom. The parks are huge and very hard to see everything in one day, especially Magic Kingdom.

My kids could spend their whole vacation at Magic Kingdom!

Try to stay late enough at MK to catch the Spectromagic parade and the Wishes fireworks.

Try and see Fantasmic at MGM.

We might just try and visit M.K. later in the day somtime to catch the fire works and parades.

I agree that another day in the MK would be nice, I was going to suggest eating at the castle on your son's birthday, but the park will probably be crowded being the holiday. Another festive birthday meal is Chef Mickey at the Contemporary. It would be perfect for his birthday, because at Chef Mickey's "everyday's a birthday"!!! Even though you're staying off site, you can still eat at any of the resorts.

How do you go about booking a table at Chef Mikey's ?]

I think that plan is perfectly worked out - you built in lots of rest and time to chill out. Pretty good plan I would say.

On the days you do go to the parks just be sure to be there a half hour early.

If you can check out the maps of each park before you go to have a good idea about the layout. Also jot down which attractions you really do not want to miss. The first time you go to WDW you can sometimes get overwhelmed and that can take away from the enjoyment. If you have a basic idea about what you really want to see then you will feel like you got more out of the trip. Also check out some menus at

http://allearsnet.com/

to have an idea about what the restaurants in the parks have to offer.
