Hows this for a snack?

Ok, so I'm trying to lose weight, new years resolution and all, but I still want some chocolate. So....I opened a bag of chocolate chips, and just eat a handful at a time! That can't be as bad as eating the cookies or candy bars, right? And, after eating just a few, I'm set. I'm not the only one who does this right? :guilty:

NOPE -- I love to eat the straight out of the bag!!! Does wonders for a Chocolate attack.. Do you happen to have the bag.. What is the Fat, Fiber and Calories.. I am on WW and haven't done the math yet.. Thanks Michelle

DD does this all of the time. ::yes:: I think that she likes the semi-sweet taste of most chocolate chips.

What I would suggest is that you pre-measure a set amount into small baggies. Check the bag for calories, etc. for a particular amount. Then decide what can reasonably fit into your weight loss plan and put that amount into your baggies. Then when you need your chocolate, grab one bag. It will help prevent that temptation of "just a few more, just a few more." :)

Good Luck with losing that weight! :)

When I get the urge for chocolate I have one or two pieces of the Dove dark chocolate and that seems to do the trick. It also helps if I have some diet coke. I have heard that the Dove chocolate - but only the dark - is also good for your heart.

Jill...

I MUST be PMS'ing because I was CRAVING chocolate so bad last night and there were no cookies/icecream/candy/snackies in the house.

so I opened a bag of nestle milk chocolate morsels...(nestle? I dunno - the ones in yellow bag)...omg...I ate like a handful...or 2...soooo yummy.

:thumbsup2 Have a big bag in my fridge for this exact reason. Something about the semi-sweet chips kills the craving quicker than milk chocolate (which I would eat the whole bag of!)

I do similarly... though I do it with Hershey's kisses. If I have a couple I am good to go. Easier to measure out though than chocolate chips, but very much the same idea. I tell myself that 2 is about 50 calories (depending on type). Not bad to me!

I do that as well. I love semi-sweet and dark chocolate. As long as you're only having a small handful you're fine. I think the package should give serving size info. Maybe you could even measure out a small amount and put them in ziploc snack bags. If you like nuts try throwing a few in with the chips. They're full of good fat and will keep you going.
