How's the weather?

We'll be at Disneyland on October 9th thru the 11th but will be staying at San Clemente Beach and will hopefully be sunning on the beach on the 7th and 8th, weather permitting. What is the weather like in So. Cal. right now? Do the evenings get chilly in Disney in early October? I feel like we are packing for 3 different trips in 10 days (beach 2 days, Knotts 1 day & Disney 3 days, Colorado River 4 days) so any info would help out this poor stressed mom! Thanks

The weather should be quite decent. I have friends who go ever year during that time and they say its around 70. So it should be quite warm during the day allowing you to wear shorts etc. But at night and in the morning it can be quite chilly, so bring a warm sweater.

Right now - beaches have marine layer and are in the 70s - by the weekend the temps are increasing so (pending marine layer) - beaches may be in the 80s with inland in the 90s. Generally: inland ranges from 10 - 15 degrees higher than the beaches with valleys and foothills sometimes 20 degrees warmer. Ananhiem is inland (but not as hot as the valleys or foothills). We are in "santa ana" season - so we have warm winds coming from the moutains. That may mean no fireworks so be prepared.

Evenings are cool enough for long pants and a light jacket (Anahiem and beach areas).

It sounds like it should be really nice this time of year. Thanks so much for the detailed info, this is a huge help! We've been to Disneyland many times in the spring and once in December, but this is our first October trip. Now I'm getting excited! Now if I can just get past the horrifying thought of my shiny white hiney in a bathing suit...
