I'm not talking about the Aurora tea...that's too much for our budget. Just the regular tea. I am thinking of doing this one afternoon with my mom and my 4yo. A little "girls only" treat. Is it good? Worth the money? TIA for any info!

I went in October of 2003 with my DGF. We really enjoyed it. I am not sure a 4yo would like it or not. It's in a lovely little room, almost like an enclosed porch which is decorated very nicely with Victorian accents. It's very pretty and very refined. I don't recall seeing any children there, but please don't let that discourage you. I am almost positive they had a "kid's menu". If you think it is something she will enjoy, I am sure she will treasure the memories of her "Tea with Mommy" for years. BTW, they had great mimosas!

Having reread this post (I'm the son of a gammar teacher), I would suggest getting ino from allearsnet.com and then going. Know what to expect, but sharing time with your daughter in such a memorable setting is an opportunity not to be missed. Be sure to take a few photos for her to have when she's older, too!

Thank you! We actually have "tea time" quite often with her Disney Princess tea set (she gets chocolate milk). I do think she'll enjoy it, especially being alone with mommy and grandma without little sisters in tow. I'll checkout that other site.

Hi,

Been twice!!!! Loved it!!!! Enjoy & it is worth it.

Remember, you don't have to order one of the set teas. You can also order a la carte.

And who wouldn't enjoy a cup of tea and some scones along with a lovely bowl of strawberries and fresh cream!

When I was last at the GF afternoon tea, there was a little girl having tea with her mum. She sat beautifully the whole time and looked to be enjoying herself. I could imagine that this is not the right place for every child, however if you think your child could sit through it AND enjoy it then I think it would be a great place. Hope you have a great time...I know we did....and I loved have my chocolate cinderellas slipper :earsgirl:

My DD and I have gone every year since she was small. She was a VERY picky eater so she ordered the child's tea (Belle's Tea?). It came with PB&J, a pastry choice and chocolate milk. We always dress up and have a great time. Back then we had tea while the boys rode all the scary rides at MK. Now we do it because it's such a fun and special girls only tradition for us to share. DD is a very girlie girl and still loves tea at the GF at 17!

Awesome idea! Your little one might like the Mrs. Potts Tea (chocolate milk) if she's not a tea drinker...
The selection is great and the setting is relaxing and perfect for a girls-only afternoon. I have taken DD at least 3 times (we stay at GF a lot) and we always really enjoy it!
have fun princess:
