How's the drive from Mission Viejo to Carlsbad?

My sis lives near Mission Viejo. We are staying a week with her and taking a Tuesday day trip to Legoland. Any locals know how the traffic is on that stretch of the 5 in the morning? We guess its about an hour drive. Does this sound accurate?

I was going to say 45 minutes, but you can allow for an hour. On a Tuesday, as long as you leave after 8 am, you should be fine. Besides, traffic is usually going the other way that time of day.
One important note, is Legoland opened on the day you want to visit? After Labor day, I think it's closed on Tuesday.

Thanks for the reply. We are going next week. They open at 10, but open gates at 9 and a few rides at 9 thirty so we plan to get there early. At first their website said it was for July only, but I was happy to see they extended it.
