How's the dinner food at Tony's Town Square?

Tony's gets a bad rap on these boards, but my family has never had a bad meal there.. We've been there probably 4 times or so on our last 5 trips....

and service has always been wonderful.

Favorites:
We usually get the Calimari for starters........and my wife is partial to the Spag and meatball..............and I usually try something different each time.....Like I said, we've never had a Bad meal there........

And if you go there right around 5pm you can catch the "flag retreat" ceremony on main st, right from the front deck of Tony's......Its a neat little ceremony........and I'm fairly certain it is at 5pm every day....... :jumping4: :jumping4: :jumping4:

MY DH and I love it so much we celebrated our 2nd wedding Annv. with the mutts. I've personally never had a bad meal there.

Well, sadly after countless trips, we have a bad experience, and are not going this time. This place was a must do for us, on the first day. Always. We even had a big family gathering there, and loved it. I'm talking going for as long as it's been Tony's, and the last time around, August, we were so disapointed, and really felt that we did not get our money's worth, that it will be some time before we go there again. The waitress had a banter about 'her uncle Tony,", but when we tried to joke back about her uncle, saying we've known Tony for years, she shut down. And pretty much deserted us. I know the menu changes constanly, which is usually okay, but the best we could come up with was the spaget. And that wasn't very good. Just overall a real bad experience. We're skipping it this month, and maybe for another year or two. Maybe Tony needs to hire someone beside 'family' to work the place. Maybe he just needs to get back in the kitchen. Sorry to say this, really.
