Hows the crowds

For those just back, hows the crowds and weather.
Is the last wk in Step. a good time to go, making plans for
next year. Would you go again at that time ?

We have been at this time of the year before and the weather is warm, crowds not bad. I would choose to go at this time again that is for sure. We are going around Columbus day and are trying to mentally prepare ourselves for the crowds! We usually only try to go when crowds are low!

The weather is really cooling off right now, but still pretty warm - high 80's. The crowds are relatively low, also. Not much wait in MK last weekend - sign said 40 min., but we walked right on with no wait & most rides were like that. EPCOT wasn't bad 2 days ago, either.

The only thing you may want to take into consideration is the 'love bugs'. They've been pretty horrible, but they are dwindling now, also.

Crowds, weather, bugs --- The end of Sept. on is really the nicest.

Just got back today. Yesterday was absolutely horrendous for crowds at MK. I was shocked. Some of the waits around 2pm-6pm:

Splash Mtn - 90 Mins
Big Thunder Mtn - 40 Mins
Pirates of Carribean - 30 Mins
Peter Pan - 60 Mins
Pooh's Adventure - 60 Mins

AK on Thursday wasn't bad. Longest wait was 30 Mins for EE. MK on Friday was busier too than a typical "slow month" of September, but nothing like Saturday. Not sure what was going on?

our first trip, but seemed like low crowds. Most days wait times were not more than 10-20 mins, but later in the day longer waits. Again, sometimes it said 10 min wait, but walked right on.

Lovebugs seemed to get worse as the week went on, esp. in AK on Wednesday. It also got crowded and hot, so we didn't stay long there.

My friend had gone around Memorial Day and had advised us how we'd need to hold the kids on our shoulders for parades, that it would be several people deep. Not true. It was usually just our family in that spot, and the kids either lounged in the stroller or sat on the sidewalk.
