How's October?

I was thinkinig of changing my dates from end of August to Sept 30 - oct 7. Can you post your expereices and thoughts. Did they do the parades and fireworks. Any reccomendations, is this wise. Thanks

We went last year Oct. 1st - 8th. It was still very warm & rained everyday(not all day). But we still had fun! If you go at this time you can also purchase tickets to attend the halloween party(MNSSHP) at MK. This was the hightlight of our trip. MK has a parade during the day & fireworks at night, Epcot has Illuminations everynight, MGM has Fantasmic at night & AK has a daily parade.


MK fireworks & Epcots Illuminations are a must for me. I just love these fireworks! Some will disagree but I also enjoy the extra evening hours at the parks. It is nice being able to stay later at the parks.

We always make an October trip, even if it's only for a long weekend. This past year, we went for a week during the middle of Oct. It was very warm and still humid -- perfect swimming weather! We did experience a shower or two, but they were quite brief. Worth noting: We found the parks to be far, far more crowded this year in October than during past October trips. The October before last, we went over Halloween weekend; and the parks were practically empty. Not so anymore.

October is beautiful, awesome weather for walking around the parks.

...what they all said! Also, although still not "packed" the F&W fest held during this time is having the effect of not making it such a "down" time like it used to be! Still one of our favorite times to go!

We usually visit in October around Halloween. The weather is in the 80's. However, I think a lot of people are catching on and starting to visit this time of year. But, I would definitely recommend an October trip! Have fun!
