We are considering going down on March break to check out DA (and warm up some!). I don't usually travel in March because all the flights from Canada are expensive, but I may bite the bullet this year...Is March the busy family travel month, or is April/Easter busier? (I think Easter is early April this year?) I assumed March would be very busy but then looked at some rentals where March rates were shoulder season rates...
We'd be going for DA, staying offsite and hoping for evenings to be lighter. It sounds like people are expecting the terrible opening crowds to fade a lot faster than they did for Hogsmeade? I'd really like to do the Gringott's ride but I am never going to queue for more than an hour (ok, *maybe* 75 mins!
) to do anything. We were two hours waiting for Despicable Me last summer and the whole family was ready to revolt.
So what do you think? Will we be able to get around and see and do things in March? Will likely get the 14 day pass with 8-10 days in town to use it, so we can afford multiple short visits instead of one or two days do-or-die.
