How's March for crowds?

We are considering going down on March break to check out DA (and warm up some!). I don't usually travel in March because all the flights from Canada are expensive, but I may bite the bullet this year...Is March the busy family travel month, or is April/Easter busier? (I think Easter is early April this year?) I assumed March would be very busy but then looked at some rentals where March rates were shoulder season rates...

We'd be going for DA, staying offsite and hoping for evenings to be lighter. It sounds like people are expecting the terrible opening crowds to fade a lot faster than they did for Hogsmeade? I'd really like to do the Gringott's ride but I am never going to queue for more than an hour (ok, *maybe* 75 mins! :lmao:) to do anything. We were two hours waiting for Despicable Me last summer and the whole family was ready to revolt.

So what do you think? Will we be able to get around and see and do things in March? Will likely get the 14 day pass with 8-10 days in town to use it, so we can afford multiple short visits instead of one or two days do-or-die.

schools in the states have different spring break periods.
some start early March while others are in April.

our schools have a week break in the 3rd week of March.

it varies by areas/school districts.

sorry i'm not much help to you.

No, mac, that's helpful, thank you. Here in Canada the *only* spring break time is March, so to confirm that US breaks are spread out, is useful. Our break is also the third week of March this year. That week and the week before will cover most school jurisdictions in Canada.
