How's availability for BCV in Oct/Nov? - UPDATE

I usually plan my trips much further in advance than this, but I'm feelin' the need for a short trip this fall. Is it completely ridiculous to think that I could get a BCV studio for a Sun-Tues stay in October or November of this year? It doesn't have to be during Food & Wine, in fact I'd almost prefer going right before or right after the festival.

What do y'all think....it is hopeless?

@ 7 months I got all dates but Sunday for Columbus Day week this year, had to waitlist.

It came thru beginning of June.

CM indicated I was "lucky".

They didn't have prior Sat. for cash res. avail either.

This late in the year, and with tourism up, I think you'll be lucky to find studio availabilty at ANY DVC.

Food & Wine runs September 29 through November 12, so that rules out October as a probability.

The week following F&W and before Thanksgiving might have a shot...why not give MS a call and see what's out there? If you do, let us know as "short lead time" reservations continue to be discussed here quite often.

Just tried to book a studio at ANY DVC for 11/9 - 11/13. None of those nights were available in a studio at any DVC resort. Of course, this is the last weekend of the F&W and also Super Soap Weekend at MGM.

We're waitlisted for all nights -- not holding out much hope so we booked a room at ASSports that we can cancel up to 5 days before if DVC comes thru.

Thanks, everyone, I'll call MS first thing tomorrow and let you know how it turns out. I'm hoping that week between the end of F&W and the start of the Thanksgiving crowds might have some availability, somewhere.

Just got off the phone with MS, and there were no studios to be had at BCV for the entire month of October. I took a studio at SSR for 10/22 - 10/25 instead. Which is fine by me, I haven't stayed at SSR yet, and have wanted to try it.
