Howl-O-Scream Busch Gardens

Howl o Scream is a separate ticket event just like HHN,as far as your boyfriends annual pass, what kind is it?If it's Platinum he can go in free the first two nights Sept. 25th and 26th,they call these two nights the Freaky preview.I have the Platinum and have gotten in free like 4 years, this year I won't be able to make those dates since I already have a trip planned for the following week. But even if he doesn't go those two nights passholders do get a good discount.

Do Platinums still get in free this year during FP? I haven't seen anything yet this year that states that the perk still exists, so I assume it is no longer valid. Also, looking at the Passholder benefits list, I do not see that perk listed.

ETA: Nevermind, I now see it listed on the HOS site (It must have recently been added, it wasn't there previously).

I was just curious if anyone knows the cheapest way to get out to HOS on either Sept 25th or 26th . I think they do a shuttle - but I don't think it has started for those nights yet.

We are staying at HRH & would like to maybe just go to Tampa for the evening.

The 2 years we went to Howl-O-Scream it was a better event than HHN........HHN is great but they were more hands on at Busch!

I can't wait to go to my first HOS after missing the last two.

Does HOS suffer from large crowds during Hell Week as bad as HHN does as I'm trying to choose my dates to attend?

There is a podcast that will have Kelly from BGT on tomorrow night at 8p.m., you can even call up and ask her questions about HOS or anything BGT related.

Wow, figured with all the construction this would be jammin. They are re-using a lot of the old props, and it looks like some new ones are going up.

So overall I had more fun at this event. I liked HHN but I had more fun here. Fright Feast is definitely a win for the price. Wanna see pics and see a full review and vid? Here it is.

We liked Howl-O-Scream so much that we're going to do it again at least twice this year (including the exclusive Embalming Tour later this month) Click here for my review/comparison to HHN and click here for avideo of my walkthrough of part of one of the houses on their media day. Hopefully my comparisons to HHN will be helpful for you. The worst part was that they don't have a nice option like the holding pen that gets you into the houses early unless you shell out for the Fright Feast or Club Vayne. Otherwise you just sit around from 6 to 7:30.

You shell out the extra, but for someone like me with the Platinum Passes, I dont pay anything to get in anyway. Ontop of that you get a meal and a chance to see the show, that normally you would miss. And the front of the line that you get goes from 7 to 8:30. We literally did three houses alone. That in and of itself is worth the extra money. And honestly, you can't compare the two events. It's like comparing Universal to Disney....there is no comparison. Sure they both have haunted houses but that's where the similarities end. You really have to experience both for the different sides of things.

We have Platinum too but just didn't realize how they run things since it was our first time. We're doing an Embalming Tour later this month, but we plan to go one other time for which we will probably do Club Vayne (the Fright Feast sounds good but we'll get it on the tour and we tend to love the smokehouse). I love the fact that you can use Platinum rerides on HoS nights on the coasters. The lines for them were unreal...glad we had quick queue.

One interesting difference between this and HHN was that at HoS they went for my husband a lot more. At HHN they seem to mainly target the females.

We're going to Virginia in 2 weeks and are thinking of taking my neice and nephew to HOS in Williamsburg. Where would be a good place to look for discount tickets, info like we share here on HHN, etc.?

we did it this year for the first time and loved it - the atmosphere was fantastic and my husband said the houses were really good especially the Death Row one. I dont like enclosed spaces so spent most of the night watching the performers and the dance parties and it was great - some of the costumes are very scary so be warned!!! One of the highlights though has to be doing sheikra & montu in the dark - well worth going for that alone. Rather than getting the bus down from orlando we stayed in the holiday inn express which was about 10 minute walk from the park - we got it for £60 on expedia - so that could be an option if you want to stay til the park closes. We would deff go again in future, and I prefered it to HHN as it reminded me of when HHN used to be in IOA rather than US. Def worth a visit xx

Cant help you with ticket info, since I'm a platinum holder and get in free. And there you pay for the day and HOS is included, they do not close the park. But for more information including some pics, videos and an interview with the VP of Entertainment click here.
It only shares the name with the one in tampa...it's not scary, and its not a seperate ticket. You go for the day and stay all night.

For those still heading over to Howl-O-Scream, we did one of their group tours and it was a very efficient way to see all the houses. Click here for my review; we're doing a private tour next week, so I will be reporting on that as well.
