We are getting in at 11:00pm our first night and we have ASMo reseved but I found the thread at the top of resort board that had a very low rate for Ho Jo's since it is only for a few hours (we are going to be at the Poly ) I was thinking of saving the $40 and just staying at the Ho Jo's we will be renting a car and won't be using anything but the beds and the shower. Has anyone ever stayed at this hotel? Is is clean and quiet enough to sleep? We will have had a ful day of work and school and the flight if it isn't changed by USAIR will be at 8PM. We'll be getting our car and heading to the hotel for sleep and then off to checkin at 8AM to the Poly. Before I change anything I thought I would ask for some input from my Disney Pro's. Thanks I have college tution to pay now so I am trying to save every penny.

The basic plan sounds OK. However

-- there are seven hotels on Hotel Plaza Blvd and none of them is a Howard Johnson. I've read that the Marriott Courtyard used to be a HoJo's so I suspect that's the one you mean. Or do you mean the Howard Johnson Maingate East?

-- If you check in at the Poly at 8AM it is very possible they will not have a room for you yet. However they can probably give you a parking pass and *perhaps* even a room key. (Obviously they can't give you a room key if your room is still occupied by someone else!) They can also sell you park passes if you don't have them yet.

-- If you're going to Magic Kingdom or Epcot, you're all set; just park at the Polynesian and take the monorail.

-- If you're going to Animal Kingdom or MGM, make sure that you have something that will get you free parking. A parking pass, room key, or multi-day park pass should do it.

The HoJo's at Maingate East is an ok place to lay your head for a night. Keeping in mind that it's not Disney and you'll save plenty of money for just those few hours... I'd do it. Shoot, I've done it. I stayed there a couple of times when I've made last minute changes and didn't want to pay for Disney hotel for a few hours of sleep. Last time I ended up poolside with a kitchenette for $39.00. I didn't make advance reservations because I've learned from the past that you can get pretty good walk in rates, especially during the "value season."
