I'd stay there either way. STayed there for the Dis Divas trip, stayed there with my family. It's a good place no matter what.
FWIW, the pool in the garden area is just the pool. It's not an adult pool. As far as Lorealle has ever said (that I've seen), there's no actual proper pool in the water play area. Shallow pool, jacuzzi, and play structure thing YES, pool NO, so if your kid wants to actually swim, they go to the pool in the garden area.
In fact that's where DS took his first few swimming strokes!
