How you have fun when the weather is dreary?

And you're dying to get out of the house? Our weather is clear today but it's so hot here during the summer that no one wants to spend much time outside.

I do shop quite a bit alone or with someone but I mostly just browse to keep from spending a fortune. We've gone to museums a lot but the good ones are quite a drive away.

So what do you do on a rainy or hot or otherwise yucky day? Like today for a lot of people.

It's been really rainy and yucky here in the NE. Last weekend (Memorial Day) we were supposed to go on a picnic but had to cancel because of rain. DD (3 1/2) was so disapointed that I opened the vertical patio blinds, laid a blanket on the floor and we (DH, DD and I) had an indoor picnic while watching the rain. DD was on cloud nine after that.

That is a wonderful idea! DS has been wanting to go on a picnic but between the heat and bugs, I haven't been real motivated. I could see laying out an indoor spread. Thanks.
