How would you rate these products?

Oh, I know. Their scents are awesome! And yes, you can use different refill scents in the same diffuser as long as it is the Wallflower brand. I stock up on my favorites but usually get 1 or 2 new scents to try them out...especially when they are this cheap. I use 2 diffusers in my 1800 sf home and I have been using them for over 2 years. One of my biggest pet peeves with the Glade and Air Wick brand of plug in air fresheners is that they change the design every 6 months or so. So, I was constantly having to replace the whole unit which is such a waste.

Oh, and if you are interested, I can send you a $10 off $40 coupon that is good for in store only...but it expires tomorrow, 6/21. If you are interested, PM me your email address.

ETA: I just found that the sale ends tomorrow, 6/21 at 11:59pm edt. So, hurry!
-----------------------------------------

Thank you so much!! So I buy as many Wallflower diffusers as rooms I have to use them in - and then all kinds of Wallflower refills that will still fit in them - right? Oh man - this is going to cost me - LOL.. But as you said, the Glade and Air Wick brands keep changing their designs (which has always been a big pet peeve of mine) and I don't want to have to keep buying new ones.. I don't see how I can go wrong at $4 a pop! And thanks for the heads up about the sale ending tomorrow.. I'm on it!!!! :rotfl:

I tend to use simpler cleaners than most of those you mentioned.

But I have tried Kaboom and found it to be completely useless. I use vinegar and baking soda on my tub and shower with much better results.

I don't get the plug in air fresheners. Why would you squander energy to make your house reek of artificial chemicals? Yuck. A friend tried them and they were enough to gag a maggot.

I use vinegar and baking soda to do most of my scrubbing. It's cheap and the vinegar disinfects. I also LOVE The Works toilet bowl cleaner; it works great, and my dollar store carries it.

Can't help you with the oven cleaner; I invested in a self-cleaning oven two years ago in large part because I couldn't find a cleaner for my old oven that I was happy with.

For dusting I LOVE the swiffer dusters!! They really grab onto the dust instead of spreading it around. I use it on all of the surfaces in my house, including the electronics and ceiling fan paddles (you can get it with an extension arm).

HTH!

I love the Windex wipes but I have not been able to find them lately. I keep them in the car and use them on the car windows mostly. I also like them for mirrors. If you have an older TV with the glass screen they would be ok on that but if you have a newer TV, High Def you might want to be careful. If you use the regular windex just spray it on the towel and not directly to the surface and it won't run down.

I like the Pledge or Swiffer dusting cloths. I think they do a good job of picking up the dust.

I don't like plug in smelly things. I use Oust in a can as needed and I think that works better.

I tried Kaboom and it didn't clean well at all-must be our location. The scrubber magic erasers are fine but I prefer the original since the scrubber side is just a scotch pad and I don't have anything I can use that on.

Fabric cleaners are not really a good idea, if you don't get all of the cleaner out it attracts MORE dirt. You are better off renting a rug cleaner, if you can, and using hot, hot water and the aphulstry attachment to clean your furniture-or if you can, have a carpet cleaning company come out an do it for you.

:confused3Well, since I don't have maggots in my home and you are not likely to visit I don't have to worry about gagging or offending anyone when I use my plug ins.

I think I'll give these a try..

Well that was a nice, friendly reply.. Why do you "squander" money on the things you purchase in life - that the rest of us may not agree with? :confused3 Perhaps you and your friend just have very sensitive noses.. I had one type of air freshener last year - can't remember what the fragrance was off hand - but everyone loved it- even the men! LOL I don't think I've ever received so many compliments on an air freshener..

LOL.. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I managed to get my order placed on line last night and the damage wasn't "too" bad..;) Can't beat those prices!! I got 3 diffusers (only have 3 rooms here at the lake) and 3 or 4 different scents.. Can't wait to try them out..:thumbsup2

I've been using the Pledge multi-surface (metal, wood, glass, electronics) and really like it!

I have to tell everyone that I USED TO love my Mr. Clean magic eraser, until it left my countertop with a noticeable spot that is lighter than the rest!!! My DD had gotten Sharpie on the countertop, and I've used Mr. Clean Magic Eraser to remove Sharpie from many other surfaces. I gently rubbed it away, and to my horror, watched my countertop fade before my eyes.:scared1:

Yes, there's a disclaimer that tells you to test it on a hidden area first. I emailed the company, and they sent me coupons.

So BE CAREFUL! My kitchen is only 4 years old, and I feel like it's ruined.

The only one of those items we've used is the Fume Free Oven Cleaner. DH bought it because strong odors make my asthma flare up. It still had a very strong smell and was in no way fume free.

Thanks for all the replies so far.. Here are the specifics of what I am looking for:

No-Fume Oven Cleaner (I've done all the "at-home" stuff with no success.. Not a self-cleaning oven..)

I CAN'T USE ANYTHING BUT NO FUME! TRY THE SPONGE TYPE IF THE FUMES ARE A SERIOUS HEALTH HAZARD FOR YOU. I WIPE THEM ON, WAIT OVERNIGHT, THEN WIPE OFF. ANOTHER EXCELLENT IDEA PROVIDED YOU HAVE LIGHT TO MODERATE CRUD IS A DISH OF AMONIA. PUT A GLASS DISH 8X8 OR LARGER WITH 1" OR SO OF AMMONIA IN IT. PLACE ON CENTER RACK AND LET SIT OVERNIGHT. (I use pretty scented amonia, not the pee smelling kind) THEN YOU CAN PRETTY MUCH WIPE CLEAN IN THE MORNING. THIS IS SOMETHING YOU MIGHT WANT SOMEONE ELSE TO DO IF FUMES ARE A SERIOUS ISSUE FOR YOU. BUT IT'S CHEAP AND WORKS GREAT! YOU CAN ALSO PLACE OVEN RACKS IN A HEAVY BLACK LAWN & LEAF BAG WITH A CUP OF AMONIA, CLOSE TIGHT WITH RUBBER BAND AND 24 HOURS LATER RINSE WITH A HOSE. WORKS GREAT!!

The reason I asked about the Windex Wipes - was wondering if I could wipe off the tv, computer screen, etc. with them.. The liquid "runs" down the front too quickly and I don't want it getting into any of the electrical components..

WIPES ARE GOOD FOR THIS BUT I'D RECOMMEND SPRAY ON A RAG OR AS A PP SUGGESTED, I'M LOVING ME SOME PLEDGE MULTI SURFACE :thumbsup2 AGAIN, SPRAY A BIT ON A RAG, SCREW THE WIPES, TOO EXPENSIVE.

The Kaboom I was mainly interested in what kind of surfaces you could use it on.. I normally use 409 (for washing walls and such) and this awesome stuff my son-in-law found on the internet in 2006.. It's called "Extra", but they don't sell it anymore.. We ordered the last 24 bottles that they had..:thumbsup2 Was basically wondering if Kaboom was another "wow" product..

KABOOM IS NOW AVAILABLE IN GROCERY STORES FOR PRETTY MUCH ANY SURFACE BUT IT'S VERY HARSH. GREAT FOR GRIMY TUBS, HARD WATER, TOILETS, STUFF LIKE THAT. GREAT FOR TOUGH SURFACES THAT CAN TAKE IT BUT IT'S NOT FOR DAILY CLEANING OF DELICATE SURFACES. TRY SOFT SCRUB WITH BLEACH FOR THOSE.

Some kind of dusting wipe - to "grab" the dust off of the outside area of the tv's; VCR; painted wood furniture, etc..

SWIFFER SWEEPER REPLACEMENT CLOTHS. THE ONES MEANT FOR THE SWEEPER, NOT THE FLUFFY DUSTER TYPE WHICH ARE MORE EXPENSIVE UNLESS THEY SEEM TO MEET YOUR NEEDS MUCH BETTER. GREAT FOR TV, COMPUTER, ELECTRONIC SURFACES, GETTING KITTY HAIR OFF THE A/C GRATE, PICKING UP DRY CRUMB MESSES FROM COUNTERS, ANYTHING DRY YOU'D USE PAPER TOWELS FOR. ONLY...STUFF ACTUALLY STICKS TO THESE! I HAVEN'T FOUND THE FLUFFY DUSTERS TO BE USEFUL OR WORTH THE MONEY BUT THAT'S JMHO.

I really want to (for lack of a better word) "wash" my recliner and single-size sofa bed.. What kind of upholstery cleaner would I use? Is there a dry foam? Would I have to use something "wet" and then wait for it to dry?

TWO WORDS: SPOT SHOT. YOU NEED NO OTHER PRODUCT. SPOT SHOT. COMES IN SPRAY CAN OR PUMP BOTTLE. GET THE BOTTLE. AS THE OWNER OF TWO PETS, ONE WITH GOD'S WORST HAIRBALLS EVER, THE OTHER WITH THE MOST SENSITIVE TUMMY EVER: :worship::worship: SPOT SHOT :worship::worship: SPOT SHOT :worship::worship: DO I NEED TO REPEAT MYSELF? :worship::worship:

Bathroom is already under control..

Love the Magic Eraser - just wanted to know if the new "scrubber" one worked better..

Plug-in air fresheners that don't cost an arm and a leg and then run out in no time flat.. A light scent - nothing overpowering..

GO TO COSTCO. BUY THEIR REAL VANILLA AND THEIR CINAMMON STICKS IF THOSE APPEAL. BUY AN EL CHEAPO TEENY TINY CROCK POT SCENT BURNER OR ONE MADE FOR TEALIGHTS WITH THE DISH ON TOP FOR FRAGRANCE. PLACE 1/4 CUP PLAIN CRISCO LIQUID OIL WITH SEVERAL DROPS VANILLA AND 1/2 CINAMON STICK. ADJUST TO YOUR PREFERENCE. PRESTO, THOSE INGREDIENTS LAST MONTHS AND SAVED YOU HUNDREDS OF $$$. YOU CAN ALSO BUY ESSENTIAL OILS MEANT FOR CANDLES AT CRAFT STORES, ADD TO THE CRISCO SAME AS THE VANILLA AND IT DOES THE SAME THING. STOP WASTING MONEY ON PLUG INS! MIX YOUR OWN TO YOUR TASTES AND USE TEALIGHTS 100/$2 AT WALMART!

Keep those suggestions and reviews coming!! :thumbsup2

TONS OF GREAT ONES I'VE COLLECTED AND TRIED, PM ME IF YOU WANT MORE INFO.

Thanks! :goodvibes

I've been using the Pledge multi-surface (metal, wood, glass, electronics) and really like it!

Yes!!! The sponge oven cleaner!! That's what I used to use before - worked great - but I can't find it anywhere now..:( Where do you get yours? To me it didn't seem to have much fumes at all and worked very well..

I love my Flylady ostrich duster. I've never been one for using a duster, but my DSis bought me a Flylady duster because she loved hers so much. Now I love mine so much I ordered my DD one. They really grab the dust, don't just spread it around. You can take it outside and shake it out, or wash it in the sink if it gets really dirty. It's one of my favorite cleaning aids.

Another thing I love is my Swivel Sweeper. No more brooms and dust pans for me. :goodvibes My DMIL bought one for all her kids because she loved hers so much. Now I am going to get my DD one since I love mine so much.

Did the same thing to me. Fortunately for me, mine was an 18+ year old laminate countertop in a light beige. So you can only see the damage if you bend down and look across the top of the surface. It was the only way I could get the Gatorade off the countertop though. Who knew that stuff could stain so well???

I totally agree with you Shugardrawers. Spot Shot is a life saver...especially if you have pets. I prefer the spray can though. Pumping the bottle is too much work.:rotfl:I don't know what that stuff is, but it is amazing to watch the stain disappear as soon as you spray that stuff on.

I LOVE the magic eraser!!.

To all those that use ANY plug in type air fresheners, READ the label and be aware that you really need to be on top of replacing it when it is empty and not leaving it unattended when it is empty....they can turn into a HUGE FIRE HAZARD and have burned down homes.........seriously, if you use ANY plug in ANYTHING, it should always have something in it, not an empty used up container using the heat as a way to "push out" a remaining, lingering scent.

We had a write up in a local paper about this recently, another fire at a home.......just be aware, we choose to not use them anymore....not worth the worry to us.............I use potpourri instead, not the same, I agree, but not the worry either.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Exactly! I find mine at Walmart and Food Lion. You don't say where you live but if you PM me, I'd bet you $$$ I could find them in YOUR area! :thumbsup2\

I never found a feather duster to hold anything for me :confused3 Are ostrich feathers different somehow? Please, tell us! And by Swivel Sweeper do you mean SWIFFER SWEEPER? Because THAT I LOVE! :thumbsup2

I think the pump bottle saves money. I don't know why, I just do :confused3

The Swiffer duster is different than the sweeper. I love the duster. Its just for dusting with a disposal duster that attaches to a stick. I can't describe anything to save my life so I apologize. But I love it and it doesnt spread dust all over the place, it catches it all really well.

I am a Swiffer Queen.

I have the Swiffer dusters and they work great. On difficult jobs (i.e. places I haven't dusted in, oh, let's just say a LONG time) I use the squirt stuff but mostly just the plain dusters work great.

I use the Swiffer dry floor sweepers for a once-over. Then, I use the Swiffer Wet for the kitchen. Then, I use the Swiffer Wet-Jet all over when I really want to cheat as it makes the whole house smell clean. I wish they had more scents, though.

I use Kaboom in the shower.

I have this new Oxy-Clean laudry additive. But I use it for spot-cleaning clothes instead. It takes the greasy spots right out and I swear by it.

Windex still works great.

Oven cleaner? We're supposed to clean that too!? Oh, that's something Husband does. Not me, I have no idea what he uses.

Thanks for the warning! I make sure to plug my fresheners in an outlet I can see everyday just for that reason. I want to make sure to replace any empty ones right away. And if I am going to be away for an extended length of time(overnight), I remove them all together.

I know what you mean. The fluffy ones. Not fond of them. I find them hard to work with but they DO hold dust well.

C.Ann: Never mind! I know what you meant now! Hold on and I'll find you a source!
