Im so confused on what is the BEST way to buy tickets this year. We got 2 complimentary tickets for 2 days with Park Hopper option and 2 fun visits. We are staying for 10 days and 9 nights. Here is what our schedule looks like

9-23 The first night we get there we are going to downtown Disney to dinner and Disney Quest (1 fun visit).
9-24 Magic Kingdom
9-25 Epcot -park hop for emh at MK
9-26 Hollywood Studios
9-27 Animal Kingdom - Park Hop for Halloween Party
9-28 Typhoon Lagoon (1 fun visit) Park Hop Epcot
9-29 Hollywood Studio -Park Hop to MK for Desert Party
9-30 Animal Kingdom -Park Hop to Epcot
10-1-Open..
10-2 Not going to any park. Plane leaves early.

So, with having this type of schedule..and having 2 day comp. passes with Park Hoppers and 2 fun visits...How many day tickets would you buy??

ETA: When we purchased the package we had to include 2 day passes. Base tickets..no park hoppers..so we have those too...Im lost.

I would park hop only two days that you already have. Then just buy a non hopping ticket for the other days. I would not pay 50 to hop just one day.

You need a 7 day ticket with hopping based on the schedule you have planned. From Undercover Tourist (without the Mousesavers discount), that would be $332.95.

They don't have a 9 day ticket offer right now, but have 8 days for $337.51 and 10 days for $354.95. A 10 day PH + WP costs about $408 on their site.

The value of the 2 day ticket you have is about $300. So depending on how you want to look at it, you will be using $632 of ticket "value" (even though you got part of it free) to get the same entries that would cost you $408 (UT price of a 10 day PH + fun visits).

If you will ever have a short trip planned in the future, I would probably save the 2 day comp tickets, skip the fun visits this trip and just buy a 9 or 10 day ticket through UT or another reseller. That comp ticket would work well for a 4 day visit - you could do parks 2 days and water parks 2 days.

PS - I agree that all that hopping is not necessary. And park hopping is not needed on your party night - that doesn't count as a hop. But what I wrote above goes with the plan that you laid out already.

I do agree with Vicki I would just save the 2 comp tickets if they do not have an expiration.

was posting for you to double check if you were or were not allowed to upgrade the comp tickets.
after rereading your post, I figured out that you are planning to use the 2 days and purchase additional tickets for the remainder of your stay.

Comp tickets are rearly upgradable.

There are some words missing here or something. :confused3 But complimentary tickets cannot usually be upgraded.

If they were able to be upgraded, it would be an easy decision to just add the days needed.

Sorry spelled rarely wrong.

Oh I forgot to add..that the package already had 2 days..so those are paid for but would have to upgrade the 2 days to park hoppers...ughh..I confuse myself more and more.

First of all, do not consider any outside tickets. Since you have to have purchased at least two-day base tickets as part of your package it is best to upgrade them.

Next, the Complimentary tickets cannot be upgraded or modified in any way. Also, they may have an expiration date on them.

Going from AK to MNSSHP does not use a hopper, as MNSSHP is actually a separate ticket.

Going from TL to Epcot does not require a hopper, as you are going from a Fun visit to a major park.

I would use the Comp for the DQ and TL entries. I would also use it for two days when you will actually be at more than one theme park per day.

If possible, rearrange your schedule so you only need the two days where a hopper is used. Then upgrade the base ticket which is part of your package to the number of day you will need. Note that normally we recommend that a person hold on to a Comp ticket, as it is only worth $8 (plus tax) per day. However, in your situation using the Fun visits will start the expiration clock on the Comps so you do need to use their theme park entries.
