What would be the easiest way to get from ASmu to the boardwalk? Also would you drive to the Transportation lot, park or take the bus there, use the Monarail for GF and California Grill? We will have a Handicap sticker, so we can park up front. What would be the fastest ways?

Here is one way... its the way I would go if I decided to leave the car at the ASMu.

Take the bus to MGM. To the right of the MGM entrance is a Friendship Boat dock. (Its outside the park) That boat will take you to the Boardwalk.

The boat does stop at the Swan before it gets to Boardwalk. You can get out at the Swan and walk over the Bridge to the Boardwalk strip. You will be starting at one end then. Otherwise get off at the Boardwalk stop, which is in the middle of the Boardwalk strip.

Otherwise I would drive to the Boardwalk hotel.

Have Fun!

You could also go to MGM (or AK) from ASMu, and take a bus from there over to the Boardwalk. Although the boat ride would be nice.

For resort to resort transportation, if you have a car then that is your best bet. With your handicap tag you will also get free valet parking(don't forget to tip though) at resort that offer it. When getting to parks in most cases it is also easy to drive, the MK being the excpetion. When going to MK it is best to take the bus from your resort to MK since the buses drop off at the MK entrance, driving requires you to park at the TTC then walk to the monorail or ferry boat to cross the Seven Seas Lagoon.

I'm sure you already know this, but if I don't mention it somebody will, you cannot park at a resort and then head to a park while leaving your car at the resort. Resort parking is limited to 3hours(most of the time but not always). Some people have been told by the valets not to worry about the time limit, since the valets are the ones reponsible for making sure they have enough spaces they will know if longer parking is a problem.

For the record, there isn't a bus from MGM to the Boardwalk (or from Epcot to the Boardwalk for that matter), but taking the bus from AK or MK to the Boardwalk is certainly an option.

When I have stayed at the All-Stars without a car I have done one of 3 things to get to the Boardwalk:
1. As previous posters have stated, take the All-Star bus to MGM and then either take the boat or walk to the Boardwalk (this walk can be a little long).
2. If I'm at Epcot (having taken the All-Star bus to get there), I'll exit the International Gateway and either take the boat or walk to the Boardwalk (this walk is pretty short).
3. If' I'm at DTD (having taken the All-Star bus to get there), I'll take the bus to the Boardwalk.

It seems like your BW question has been answered very well, so I will tackle the other. If you are going to any of the monorail resorts (GF, CR, or Poly) just to dine, it will be faster and easier to drive than to take Disney transportation (especially since you will get complimentary valet with your handicap sticker). In case you are unfamiliar with how to do this, when you leave All Star, take the exit ramp to the right just past the McDonalds. This will put you on the Osceola Parkway. About a half mile or so ahead, on the left, will be a turn marked for Magic Kingdom (there is a traffic light here). This will put you on World Drive. Take World Drive up to the MK parking toll booths. Stay as far to the right as you can going through the toll booths (you won't have to pay toll as you are a resort guest). You will see all the lanes taking off to the left for the MK parking and one lone lane going straight ahead to the right. Stay on that straight lane. Drive until you reach the traffic light. If you are going to CR (for California Grill) you will go straight through the light to the second light and turn right into CR. If you are going to Poly or GF, you will turn left at this first light. Poly will be on the right just past the guest drop off for MK (it comes up quickly, so drive slowly). For GF, you will go past Poly and curve to the right when the road dead ends. GF will be about a quarter mile ahead on the right, just past the Wedding Pavilion.

Remember, it's possible that you could end up with a time restriction on parking at one of the monorail resorts (although less likely in valet than in self parking), so don't plan on parking the car at a resort and visiting MK.

This is a great tool. I can't speak for how accurate it is but from my limited knowledge, it seems both accurate and inclusive of all destinations.

I was so focused on the BW portion of the question I forgot to put my $.02 worth in for getting to CR or GF.

From any non-monorail resort I would take the bus to MK and take the monorail to CR or GF. The monorail ride is a ride in and of itself. I love riding it and visiting the monorail resorts.

I know you were asking how to get there from your hotel but this might help someone. Last year when we were there, we planned to spend one evening there (dinner, reunion with relatives) so we left Animal Kingdom on the bus headed to the Boardwalk resort - that was the easy part. Leaving was harder. We ended up getting a ride from the relatives back to our resort but the other people we were traveling in, who were staying at a different resort than us, took a bus to Downtown Disney since it's open so late then either transferred to a bus or the boat to the Port Orleans resort they were staying at.
