I think you have EVERY right to be upset.. as would i!!! Although going from what others have said, if you don't know who they were, you really can't file a police report. (Not saying you were going to). I think the school should definately be notified, it's just too bad that you don't know who the parents were, cuz if i were you, and i found out, i would be definately having a chat with them.
And i think your letter to the paper was a great idea, this will call attention to the issue and remind parents how to properly act. And maybe they will end up finding you and apologizing to your ds.
