How would you feel and react?

Okay well first off today I went to the mall with my three best friends-M,L,and D- to shop for Mothers Day Gifts.

We went into the Disney store so I could get part of my mom's gift and I was paying and my three best friends were talking. D and M kept making fun of my last name by calling it something else so I was like "Are you guys making fun of my last name" and then I was busy paying.

My best friend,L later told me that M and D told her in the Disney Store that when they were making fun of my last name they were telling her something they did.

M and D said that they told said some mean things about me or embrassing to some guy named Chris. They told him about the underwear I wear and just basically made fun of me.

I was wondering how would you feel if your -BEST- friends said something embrassing/mean about you to somebody?

How would you react to that?

I don't think I'm overreacting but I was just wondering how you guys would have taken it.

Thanks.Yea I guess you could say I'm emotional when it come's down to friends. But then when I get like this I think I'm just overreacting or like this is just KARMA or something.

I would hurt someone who made fun of my name. It's something I'm very proud of.

i'd be quite hurt. we had a science test recently and i was really upset with my score(83%). my 2 friends had lower than me but still it was good for them so i walked over to congratulate them and all i get is HAHAHAHAHAHA someone had higher than you HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.you suck you suck.

For me, if they said like "Oh Kim wears granny panties!!!!!" I'd probably just laugh it off and be like "Oh yes ofcourse" or "and you would know".

I guess I am used to it me and my freinds tease eachother all the time.

haha. i have a quick temper so i do end up slapping the person who hurt me or made me angry. i then have to walk away because i'd turn it into a fight and there is no doubt in my mind i'd lose(everybody else thinks i'd win but i'm quite weak)

I'm pretty sure they were just kidding. People do that to me all the time. I feel like alot of people on this board take things too litterally. not saying that in a bad way and not saying its just you, but I am going to say that I think all ya'll should start to be a little less litteral, believe me your life will be waaaay less stressful. just my opinion though.

Alexis- they don't sound like real friends if they say that. Forget them and just don't hang out with them.

Nkay they told some boy the kind of underwear I wear and made fun of me.

They even admitted to my other best friend leah that they said something mean about me to the kid.

I know when they are joking but that was just plain mean what they did.

ok that's all very well i respect your opinion but let's not forget that i was the one who was actually there and these were my best friends, so i think i can tell you they were being serious and spiteful and you really can't differ.

I don't let myself have best friends.
I have close friends that I share a lot with, but I've realized recently that when you make anyone your best friend or your everything, you could be left with nothing. Just memories of better times that are bitter because of something.

It may be negative, but it's happened to me.

I can have normal underwear conversation with my friend, but that's probably because we have no problem discussing our underwear with anyone.
